anyone here do it, or have a recommendation? I work in HB and live in Mission Viejo so anywhere near their works. i have never had to tint my windows before, they were always tinted when i got the car. i have gone to a couple places and they just seem shiesty, reminded me of the old stereo shops back in late 90's early 2000's. i think its an easy job, 2021 ram, and i just want the front windows to match the back.

anyone got a go to for this?

I use this guy. he’s in anaheim by my shop
he’s done all my personal vehicles, our shop windows and a ton of our fleet. great quality and can’t complain about the pricing.

Since you’re in So Cal , don’t go too dark , if you do , it’s a swat team applicable offense

Terrific Tint on Cabot south of Oso.... I have not used them like 8 years, but they have done all my cars, and family and friends.

I'm gonna tint my front windows to match the rear as well. Also going to do the windshield with a clear ceramic tint. Ceramic apparently really cuts down on the heat.

Rick at Sundial does excellent work and is out of HB.
He's got a place in Havasu Springs, but I think he only works here in the OC / LA areas.

The wife uses a place on Gothard around Heil, probably had 10 cars done there over the years. Always an excellent job. I can find out the name tonight and message you.

Over the years everytime I get a car tinted it seems like I get busted for it. Fix it ticket, take it off, sign it off...F that. But lately it seems like everyone has tinted windows in SoCal, are cops just not writing that ticket anymore or did the laws change?

careful with the front, my dad did his truck with that. i wear polarized sunglasses and it looks completely pixalated with them on. with his prescription sunglasses or no glasses it looks normal.

no problem, im not sure if its just the ceramic that does it or just the brand he got. his side windows look fine, the windshield is brutal with polarized glasses, he put my glasses on to see what i was talking about and just said "yup, thats horrible" put has back on and said its perfectly clear. had a few friends who wear polorized glasses try it too, all said the same thing. pixalated as all hell.

Who out in the IE? will need to get the new car done when its finished. Needing the front windshield done too.

Have used Sundown Window Tinting in the past. Not sure if anything has changed over the years.

I drove 13 years in So Cal with limo tint on my F250s. 2 tint tickets within the first 2 years... Dana Point and Blythe. Never again got one the next 11 years. I do have an old guys rule sticker on my rear window.

I never got one in a nice car. Had a Filipino coworker that owned a 360 Ferrari and Nissan Skyline, took his old beater Altima with rims and a tint to work one day.

Ticket that same day. Brown dude in shitty car + tint = ticket in Irvine! Was the joke of the day in the office for sure.

Another for Terrific tint! Multiple friends have used them and the pricing is pretty fair.

Amaro's Window Tint in Lake Forest has done a few trucks and a Focus for me. They are at Lambert and Aspen off Lake Forest.
2004 Ram 4 side windows with ceramic tint was like $500 or something close to that. Flawless work.

Regardless of where you go spend up for ceramic tint. It's night and day better in keeping heat out and it doesn't fade out over time.

Two back windows dark and the two fronts Light.
