Bitch screaming after the shooter gets what's coming but it was OK that he was shooting at the driver 4sec earlier. SMH

Edit: upon further information coming forward my statement above may not be correct

Check out the dude in the foreground in the blue shirt and pants, he is laying back during the shooting, then waves his arms afterwards.

"NEVER turn your back on a suspect".

Grew up less than 20 miles from that town. Redneck central. That guy should have killed the carjacker at point blank range. Even with a .22. Not sure he had the legal right to shoot after the carjacker was in the vehicle and leaving.

I remember this guy and some of his cases in Lumberton from my youth. The deadliest prosecutor in America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Freeman_Britt

'Jonathan also opens fire on Ricky while trying to stop him from escaping in the stolen truck. Despite LeCompte’s warnings and shots, Ricky managed to reverse the car.'

Those weren't warning shots...those were misses. This is why you should train with your firearm you are going to carry. I don't know that he was justified in firing on the guy, but since he did, he definitely should not have missed at that range. Crazy that dude is still alive. Easy to be a keyboard warrior though, who knows what was going on in that guys head at that time. Sucks he was killed over it.

How do you miss at point blank? Like literally 3 feet from your target?

How do you miss at point blank? Like literally 3 feet from your target?

Lack of preparation.
Adrenaline, debilitating nervousness, etc.
Lack of motor memory trigger discipline.

Most people have never evaluated their abilities under extreme stress.
They buy a firearm and never consider training.

I have witnessed people get excited and squeeze the pistol like a pop can and shoot extreme right or left depending on their dominate hand.
