My Bimini was built with the same square tubing material that the side rails were built out of. Boat has seen 50mph one time, normal cruise is 40mph, Bimini doesn’t move at all.

“We've never had an issue with speed although we normally cruise at 35 or so. I've never really cared for the arch style. A little too Miami Vice ish for me.”

Ha easy there Crockett, they are talking about the speed on the water not towing to the launch ramp 😜🤣🤣.

Nothing wrong with the square tubing, depending on the gauge. Most I've seen also use aluminum connections with stainless pins, no plastic.

So how do you guys fold up and store you bimini tops then?

🤔
Why remove and store it? Fold it down if you have low storage. Honestly no idea , never had a reason to remove the Bimini. I can run it at nearly 60 w zero concerns

I have a cover the whole bimini slips into, nice and tight.

Then it rests on two little 4" poles, so it won't lay in the upholstery, and then the whole boat gets covered.

No indoor storage at Big Bend.

That clearly is a viable solution! 🤣

I was just wondering what everyone else is doing.

I've yet to have an issue in Parker. 😜

That’s the white anchor light.

Rear nav light is just that, rear. Doesn’t have to be seen 360 degrees or that would confuse people. The trend has moved to white light on a short pole at the stern but typically you can’t always see it from dead on.
“Trends” may have changed, however I dont think the rules have.

“An all-round white light or both a masthead light and a sternlight. These lights must be visible from a distance of at least two miles away on a dark, clear night. The all-round white light (or the masthead light and sternlight) must be visible from all directions in a 360-degree circle.”

Can you please tell me who built you the bimini?
I wish I could but I have no idea, I bought this boat as is a few years ago. I will look to see if there is a tag or any info on the bimini when I get back up there.

Had a few... toons are great for Havasu. All these boats are polished turds... just depends on how much polish.... crawl under them.... few are trough bolted... alot have zip ties, wood screws... quick and cheap manufacturing methords..... Just take a real good look at everything... most likely the motors will be the least of your "future" issues.....

Good luck

Yep, here are the USCG requirements:
  1. Powerboats Under 12 Meters (39.4 Feet) in Length:
    • Must have separate or combined red and green sidelights covering 112.5 degrees and visible for 1 nautical mile.
    • The white masthead light must cover 225 degrees, be 1 meter above the sidelights, and be visible for 2 nautical miles.
    • The white stern light must cover 135 degrees and be visible for 2 nautical miles. Alternatively, you can use a 360-degree all-around white light.
I have only owned one boat that has had a separate stern light and masthead light. Both of my toons have had one 360 degree light that is both the nav light and anchor light.
