Replacing trim pump and I have had several suggestions on what to fill it with! ATF, power steering fluid, hydraulic fluid, 10w-30
Thanks

Doesn't the pump manufacturer have a recommended product?

As long as the viscosity is close it should work. I would want to use what they recommend. Certainly a fluid that is hydrophobic. (Non absorbent of moisture)

I put 10-w30 motor oil in mine for convenience. For how little these things operate, I cannot see it being an issue, its not like its a constantly rotating pump.

The only thing I haven't poured in my trim pump res. is cooking oil. 2 stroke oil, trans fluid, power steering fluid, new motor oil, used motor oil, tractor oil. it all works.
