any idea's on what the cost would be on minor rust removal. replacement of wood on the bunks and sides. most of the trailers paint is fine. but its time to get it refreshed. i'm thinking the cost of lifting the boat off of the trailer would cost the most. trying to save a few bucks. it's located in the San Diego area. and not willing to take it to far. any info or help would be great.
24' cat.

Thanks Donnie

What are you looking for? Blast, treat, and rattle can the rust spots? You could get that done at the nearest Home Depot parking lot. I'd estimate 30 bucks.

If you want it done professionally, they're probably going to want to blast the entire trailer, treat the spots, and then repaint the entire trailer. Once done, they'll want to replace the bearings and seals. At least, they will if they're a good shop. It's near impossible to blast a trailer without a grain or two slipping by a seal and that's the kiss of death for wheel bearings. All of that is going to cost a lot more than the cost of lifting the boat off the trailer.

I redid my trailer last winter. With everything and me doing everything but the sand blast and paint, I was into it about 800 bucks. That's new fenders and all new wiring, lights etc. a good amount was In stainless hardware. Brown says its not really required, but I opted for it anyways.

My friend just got his trailer redone last month by Extreme trailers in Realto, CA. They did a great job for a great price. They were really easy to work with and got the job done pretty quick. Use them you won't be sorry:)

Enduro. Trevor: 714-329-3276

I put well over $2k into a 21ft trailer with a swing-away tounge, bunks, paint, LED's etc. etc.

Just a re-paint of a 28ft. was $1K, and that was cheap for what I was getting quoted

I just redid my entire trailer. Blast, paint, fenders and steps, bunks, electrical and complete axles. I was into it for around 2k. And that is a 38' trailer :thumbsup
