The media is trying extremely hard to make this a hate crime. I guess gang violence, domestics, love triangle or numerous other things aren’t to be considered. In todays age it’s a hate crime until proven otherwise.

Well they just announced the suspect is asian…so that puts a damper on the typical hate crime angle.

They said the gun was at the scene. My guess is somebody, with guts, relieved the shooter of his weapon.

As was stated above, a person managed to disarm the shooter when he arrived at the second business in Alhambra. The shooter then left the location and law enforcement personnel were contacted regarding the encounter.

You have people from city, county, state and federal agencies involved, and as you can imagine, the information needs to be vetted before it is released. That's why there is so much speculation from all of the media personnel. They haven't been fed info directly from the sources, so they are left to form their own opinions. The press release at 4:30 should have more information that has been deemed appropriate for release.

There is never an "Ideal" location for an incident of this magnitude to come to an end. With regards to location, and considering everything that has occurred, this was probably a "Best case scenario." No other innocent people were injured, and that was obviously a priority. Yes, businesses were affected and motorists we're inconvenienced by the road closures. It's unfortunate, no doubt about it.
