So did you pass out or what? Any symptoms leading up to this? I missed the orig thread.
Nope, woke up feeling fine then right leg and right arm would not move, face felt like a Novocain shot at the dentist.

In route to the hospital my thoughts were to not be a invalid or a burden to my wife.

So when the doctors told me brain bleeding may be a side effect and what heroic actions to take, I said none, "part me out the parts you need, burn the rest." My exact words.

I won’t be a burden to anyone. Feed me, wipe my ass,,, nope,, if I can't be self-sufficient with basic needs I'm not putting that burden on the wife.

Beautiful, healthy girl with a full life ahead of her.

Positive side, we'll sell the Dually and Toy Hauler, and move into a more manageable RV that if a tragedy occurs on the road, the wife can easily drive home without the hassle of hooking up and driving that big rig.

I absolutely will not be a burden to anyone. Feed me, wipe my ass,,, nope,, if I can't be self-sufficient with basic needs I'm not putting that burden on the wife.

I definitely agree with the not wanting to be a burden...if I'm out, I'm OUT.
Really glad that wasn't the case.

That's what we went through.
At one time on their game, really good.
Now a chain in defeat and taking their customers down with them.
Sad.
Consider Delivery pharma.

Cindy called again today on it. I cannot handle dealing with idoits. I used up that skill at work and am no longer able to keep it civil. So she does it.
Anyway todays excuse will make ya laugh.
"Oh yes, everything is in order, but that particular medication is in our safe, and we can't get it to open. The repairman was here yesterday and is supposed to be back today with the part, so you may get the call late today, or possibly over the weekend."

There is most definitely soemthing going on....and it is really a good thing I didn't take that call...

Honestly, I thought it was just our Walgreens. With some insurance changes, my son gets his meds there. Seems like once a month or so there's an issue. The meds need to come out of Phoenix is mostly what we hear. Lots of calling to make sure scripts have been received on time, big PITA. Was just there today to get something we needed by tomorrow, but tried to get last Monday.

Couldn’t get my heart meds filled at the Simi Walgreens. “We got hacked” was the fairytale.

Only the pharmacist manning the store. No one else and mass confusion.

Walmart blindsided us with how good they are. I expected a shit show. You know how Walmart is.

Walmart Pharmacy tech told us they are experiencing a mass influx of Walgreens customers.

I had it out with those AH that wouldn’t give my kids meds because I couldn’t get 1 number right. Non pharmaceutical too

Great news and recovery! Hang in there Casanova 😀

It’s been awhile but I was pretty up to date with strokes. We’ve come a LONG ways in our treatment.

Some background, I had worked on the first bed side instrument (vs large lab analyzer) around early 2000’s for determining a patient stroke in 20 minutes via blood draw. Unfortunately the assay was denied by FDA as the determination between ischemic and hemorrhagic was too narrow to differentiate in their opinion. So we nailed stroke… but because the treatments are so radically different the efficacy was denied. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since that work.

Aren't 80+% of strokes ischemic?
That's a bummer because you're >< close to a major advancement in quick treatment.

Could be 80%, I don’t recall.

The hard pill to swallow was we called stroke BUT because treatments are totally different it wasn’t a medically effective call. Needed to have accuracy and precision for EACH type of stroke, not just “stroke”. I made chemistries for the assay so it was a big let down.

The local Hospital has a mobile stroke unit, they get dispatched along with the FD when someone calls 911 and there is a report of a stroke. They can diagnose right there in the unit and administer the proper treatment while in the way to the ER. Their efficacy is crazy, like 90% of victims they get to in time make full of nearly full recoveries. Saving that time getting to the ER is a game changer.

It's amazing how many ways a pharmacy can fuck up my Schedule II prescriptions. Over the years everything short of the building catching fire or a plane crashing into the entrance has happened. I have enough bullshit every month with my Albertsons pharmacy, and they're ten times better than CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.

My wife uses Walgreens for her scripts, and like others have commented, they're the worst. Totally incompetent and unreliable, and that doesn't fly when the meds are must have.

Evidently
A couple doctors came into my hospital room and mentioned there’s a movement on for that.

Issue is brain bleeding has to be monitored so vehicles are specially equipped.
Some areas of Ventura county and Malibu at the moment they mentioned.
Only one treatment per 120 days they also said.
