On a good day headed downhill/downstream in 72 degree weather“Towing your 5 gallon per mile boat” with a 5 mile range “truck”……

Those Rivians look capable of getting a 21’ on and off a boat trailer, but you really need a bunch of charging stations in the ramp parking lots, to make it work.
Those cyber trucks scream “I have a small dick issue and im compensating for it”
I am with ya, but that is not going to stop me from laughing at ironyLive and let live. I love watching people do what they want with their money. That guy is out there having a great fucking time. Good for him.
Shintooo, I had the same epiphany out lake mead the other day: we were sitting and waiting on some buddies at the marina, and one of those new sea do pack and play pontoon boats goes by. Everyone’s reaction was how retarded those look. And why would anyone buy that thing. It dawned on me that the people that buy those likely have never owned a boat, ridden in a boat, have any friends that have boats, and they think that their new boat is the dopest trip. Everything is about perspective. Yeah, I think the Tesla truck is the unfortunate result of an insestual love child of two Deloreans, but that’s just me. Hell, my idea of a beautiful truck is my red neck dodge dooley with a flat bed and side boards.Live and let live. I love watching people do what they want with their money. Honestly, in my opinion, the boat screams the same thing to me.Those Rivians look capable of getting a 21’ on and off a boat trailer, but you really need a bunch of charging stations in the ramp parking lots, to make it work.
Those cyber trucks scream “I have a little personality disorder issue I’m working on”
I don't think it will it make it not towing without a charge. Several of my river neighbors have Teslas now. They have to stop and charge and 1 lives in Hemet. If I had endless money it would be a fun in-town tow truck.
LOL aint no way it would make it towing to Parker and back on a 1 charge.
Lol... It's all in humor in here for the most part... But a thread like this is exactly why I've given Zero Fucks about other people's opinions of what I do or how I do it. I'm not saying I would choose the same tow vehicle, but what does it really matter to me or anybody how this guy lives his life regarding choice of vehicle.
Another way to look at it is look around the next time you are beached hanging out. Do the people with boats under 100k look to be having any less fun than the guy with the 300k boat parked next to them?
I think I'm going all in on an EV pulling a large portable diesel generator around town just for fun.
The new Tesla sedan are great looking cars would never own one but that Tesla truck is butt ugly!!Saw that rig yesterday pulling into town. Perfect for around town. I’m sure it can pull that no problem. I actually like the Cyber Truck. I used to like the Rivian until I saw one in person. To each their own. I think most people that hate the CT hates EV’s in general. Wife has a Model 3 I have a lifted diesel. She loves fast cars and always has hated getting gas. Not a greeny at all. We only use my truck for river trips otherwise we take my other work truck everywhere. People who have boats or cars that I would never buy…..so be it. That’s what they like. I respect that. It is kind of funny how people get so triggered by this Cyber Truck. I would never buy one as it would not be practical for what I do.
Ironically, the cheaper the boat the more fun they're probably having. The guy living his best life in a cheap boat probably gives zero fucks about having Cheetos and Hershey bars on board... Heck, he's the one squirting mustard packets on the other passengers and topping off their red wine then heading straight for the wakes for some good laughs...!

Use to take my Exs Tesla to San Diego as my trucks won't fit in a parking structure. And would have to stop and charge at the outlets on the way and on way back. No saving money with those stops even though the charging was free. Few times there was up to 6 cars waiting in front of us to charge. Great around town but we always took a truck to Parker.
I doubt it would. Probably 65 mile range with it. I thought Havasu was 35 miles 1 way. With summer heat and AC Probably even less range.Wow, I was thinking it wouldn't make it from Havasu to Parker and back on 1 charge towing that boat,.
I didn't watch the whole video just the end with the range. Did they pull any hills during this test that's the key!!
No they didn’t.I didn't watch the whole video just the end with the range. Did they pull any hills during this test that's the key!!
Thanks I kinda thought that so subtract 15 minutes of drive time pulling a few grades....No they didn’t.
I have no problem with people buying what they want have at it just not my style.Realistically he’s probably only going from the house to the launch ramp.
Would you say the same thing if a guy paid 120k for a diesel to tow his boat 10 minutes. Lol
Let people spend their money on what they want…. Not that crazy to think the way our society is going in 10 years this will be a lot more common.
We must have been on the road at the same time
I must have been right behind you
I saw that video when Heavy D first posted it. I call complete BS since I've owned a couple Ram 3500's and I have pulled Grapevine and the 10 without slowing down with more than 11,000 pounds and I don't drive below 70mph unless I see CHP. I think I was about 17,000 pounds. Fuel mileage was 7-8 though.Opened this thread then got a pop up for Heavy D towing with 1. Up the grade towing a gladiator at 80mph while his Cummins pulled the same at 45mph. It did drop the range to like 65 miles. But he said it pulled it easily. Only have to stop 5 times to charge to Havasu from here.
Not going to lie....I loved my Daytona, but the crapper Pontoon I bought is so family friendly it's sick. No cleaning when I get off the water, no worries about kids toys, zero F's given. I'm actually buying more garbage for it. If it doesn't sell, I'm buying a 20 foot lily pad and a kayak which I'm going to put mounts on the side for my kid and I already have a ton of stereo equipment for it.Ironically, the cheaper the boat the more fun they're probably having.
