So I need some education.

I want an enclosed trailer to haul my dirt toys. Do I need to be concerned with a V nose vs flat nose due to tight turns? Am I going to stuff my bumper through the front end of a V nose trailer?

Depends on what type of situation you get into. Vnose will be best compared to a flat nose trailer. If you’re buying a new enclosed I would look for a trailer with a longer tongue I’ve never had a problem with any of my trailers. But my car hauler has a really long tongue compared to my other trailers

It comes down to how long the tongue is. I have two trailers...both are flat front. One is a stacker with a longer tongue that would take me quite a bit to jackknife. The other is a single level with a shorter tongue that I do have to be mindful how tightly I turn.

Neither one is a problem with regular turns on the street and a V nose shouldn't be an absolute requirement.

When you are looking at enclosed trailers often times they will advertise "RV length tongue". it's a 6' tongue which allows you to turn pretty tight.

I have a square box 24' Enclosed with the bad ass cabinets, lighting, stereo, AC / Heat that I maybe selling this summer. It has the RV tongue.

I’m looking for 8.5x20 due to storage space limitations.

Something else that takes getting used to is the RV's overhang, and it's turning radius. Some of the coaches have 12ft past the rear axle. When you pivot in a turn, the "swing" actually goes away from the apex of the turn, and the trailer nose with it. Right turns at intersections require a little more finesse I find.

its not the turning you have to worry about its the incline/decline of drive ways that will put the top of the v-nose into the back of the coach when the back of the coach drops down into a driveway entrance for example.
