We have a few bottle of his wine at home. Good stuff and reasonable.

I actually love A Perfect Circle a much or more than TOOL.

Check out Maynard's winery here.

TOOL is amazing, all the albums and A Perfect Circle as well! I have been into trail building and have been naming all the trails after the tool song that has the same vibe as the trail! So far its been "The Grudge" "Undertow" "Jambi" "Stinkfist" "Schism"

So pumped on new stuff!

Fear Inoculum single aint bad. Not super heavy, but it sounds great.

Going through the whole catalog this morning on the house stereo. The Grudge is hard to top.

I was pretty bummed seeing Tool in the LA area the 5 times or so I went. They only played "hits". None of the actual good songs. I gave up on seeing them live.

94ish? Tool played a lot at the Glass House in Pomona. Maynard was living around there back then. Always seemed cool.

...and let's not forget, in the Green Jello hit Three Little Pigs, Maynard did the high pitch lines, "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin"

Maynard is a total trip.
How the hell he sings so contorted just baffles most voice coaches.

Just got tickets to the SLC show. It sold out fast.

I tried getting tickets for my kid for show in Boston. He was camping and out of cell range on sale day.
Logged on to Ticketmaster first thing when tix went on sale.
Got in a queue, waited until my turn to purchase. He wanted 4 tickets.
Every time I clicked on a group of tickets I got an “already sold” or something similar message.
That went on for half an hour until sold out.
Shortly thereafter plenty of tickets available from “certified reseller” for a premium of course.

Same deal here... but I know the head of all ticket sales for Vivent Smart Home Arena and grabbed a couple from him that he reserved.

Was not familiar with tool. Suddenly they showed up on my YouTube feed. Kind of liking it. Seems like good late-night desert highway tunes.

I think you either love or hate Tool. Back in the day I used to tell some of my friends give it a chance..and most would finally agree....I think you actually have to sit and listen to their albums as a whole. They have a lot of weird shit too. Their music has lots of ups and down...and is climactic. Very well put together.

Well I'm 36, I started listening to them in High School.

Too funny.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s your dad’s age.
I work with a dude who was born a week after my kid was born.

Right on dude.
I’m only a couple years behind you.
Yea. Getting old is kind of sucking all of a sudden.

64 Back in the day I listened to Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Who etc. But went more southern rock, blues, country. Vaguely remember tool but wasn't into that genre anymore.

I'm really trying to sink my teeth into the new Tool record. They're like a tribal jam band, I just want to hear more power chords and a chorus here and there.

You dare to slam the Barry??:cool::D:D

13 #1 singles
28 top tens
46 top 40’s

And thats just his own recordings, it doesn’t even count his hits written for other artists.
Over 75 million albums sold worldwide.

I’ll tell you this!
“I write the songs” and “Mandy” got me laid a lot more than “Kashmir” or “Iron Man”!!:p:cool:

Read the lyrics to Invincible.

I can post...

Long in tooth and soul
Longing for another win
Lurch into the fray
Weapon out and belly in

Warrior struggling
To remain consequential
Bellow aloud
Bold and proud
Of where I've been
But here I am

Beating chest and drums
Beating tired bones again
Age-old battle, mine
Weapon out and belly in

Tales told of battles won
Of things we've done
Caligula would grin

Beating tired bones
Tripping through remember when
Once invincible
Now the armor's wearing thin
Heavy shield down

Warrior struggling
To remain relevant
Warrior struggling
To remain consequential
Cry aloud
Bold and proud
Of where I've been
But here I am
Where I end

Warrior struggling
To remain relevant
Warrior struggling
To remain consequential

Tears in my eyes
Chasing Ponce de Leon's phantom
Soul filled with hope

Whee’s the selfie front and center?

Plus they were kicking people out for taking pics or video. Which is fine with me people that go to a cancert and video half of it is stupid.

Going to see Tool on Monday! Can't wait

Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Not sure how the acoustics are where you are seeing them but I was really impressed how good this concert was. They play a bunch of old songs also. I think 3 from the new album.
