I had a tri fold back flip cover on my F250 and loved it. I have a retrax now on the F150 that the previous owner installed. It is cool, but the box that it retracts into takes up bed space and it gets hung up on the rails. I like the look of the retrax, but will replace with a tri fold when the time comes. There are several good brands of tri fold, just Google and read the reviews.

I like the tri fold (mines four panels on a 6’6” bed). Much more functional than a fiberglass snugtop.

Now for looks a snugtop that’s color matched is the tits! Bummer is you usually need two people to remove it. I’ve done them solo but there’s a process lol.

My Retrax leaks like crazy!!! Flip back never leaked at all and I drove / parked that thing in some crazy rains.

I kind of like the concept, but have never installed one. With snow up here, probably not a good idea.

I have a 2024 Sierra 1500. I bought the REV hard folding tonneau cover. I really like it. It fits like a glove, it’s secure and it looks great. You can buy it from GMC Accessories and pick it up at your local GMC dealer.

I've had a bakflip on my last 2 trucks. Makes traveling with stuff so much easier. The last panel on the one on my 22 ram fits like shit compared to the one on my 13.

Retrax pro, yes it’s has a canister but with a 8’ bed no problem and still can store stuff under neath it.

Seals tight, no leaks and when it’s open it doesn’t block the back window

I've had the retrax on my 2019 f250 since new. I love it! It doesn't leak a drop of water and has been flawless for 93,000+ miles. I will be purchasing the electric version for the next truck

I have for my 2017 Ram 1500 the Extang Solid Fold 2.0! It sits on the rail as I'm not interested in a the gasket system to get the flush mount look.

Had the same model on my 1996 Silverado for many years and it held up great.

Two trucks with two different bed covers. They each have pros and cons. Folding is more user-friendly, leaks and is less secure. It's also light enough I can simply remove it and set it aside solo. The hardtop is color-matched, doesn't leak and is a heavy beeeotch!

Highly recommend the BAK Revolver X4S. Just put one on my 2024 GMC 1500 and love it. The quality and construction are much nicer than some other comparable ones I’ve had.

After thinking about this with great input I think I want to go folding, no color match. I drive a lot for work and have a beater truck for hauling stuff so this truck is a travel/pavement queen. Being able to secure stuff in the back, with weather proofing sounds like my jam, but the big heavy color matched deal is too much. Thanks yall.

I have the backflip revolver X4S. I really like it, but I bought it because I didn't want to spend the $3k for the Retrax Pro and it fit my budget of $1000. I've had it for 2 years now and it's been very good and has had really no wear. The only thing I hate about these are putting motorcycles in the bed and having to strap them to the front wall. I had to make a chock to push the bikes back so they wouldn't bend the cover.

Good luck with your search. I'll never own a truck again without one!

This is why I like the roll up one. Bikes just rest up against and it won’t mess anything up. Had a similar one on my previous truck and it was perfect.

I have the Rough Country Hard Tri-Fold Flip Up Bed Cover. Never had an issue. It clamps on underneath the bed. Use’s the tailgate lock to secure. Easy to remove if need entire bed.

I had the Snugtop Snuglid on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD for the last 20 years. Loved it except when I had to take it off. Now I have a 2022 Silverado 3500HD and just put on the LineX Flip cover. It is the Bakflip4. Cool thing is it is sprayed with Linex spray coating and a better warranty.

I have the revolver cover on my dodge long bed.

It’s only about 2 1/2 years old and it’s coming apart. The fabric/material is cracking at the joints, some is coming unglued from the aluminum. Not happy. I gotta file a claim.

These covers for the black aluminum are over $1,400 from the manufacturer….

How often do you have to haul stuff that won't fit under a tonneau cover? I have a backflip and my dad has a retrax, IMO the retrax is more convenient when hauling stuff that sticks out of the bed since you can lock it in any position, but it takes up bed space and is rather expensive. My backflip is easier to manage overall, but I'm not a fan of the strap system for holding it half folded up. Worry a strap will let go and the cover will fall on whatever it is I'm transporting.

I have an Undercover Lux on my 2015 silverado, painted from the factory in OEM paint color. Have been happy with it, the reason I got this one is it is light enough to remove with the help of my son in the event I need to hual something larger, yet still provides the locking and coverage like the fiberglass ones.

Took four of them being shipped for fed-ex not to break the drum on at least one side for my FIL's truck....First time he loaded his snowmobile up...he drilled that drum and broke the 5th one lol. He was not amused. They seem to be a very cool product

I’ve had 2 on 2 different trucks.
2016 Chevy 2500 short bed had a back flip and was great and hardly ever leaked over 5 years.
2021 gmc 3500 long bed with a paragon and it looks great and is color matched. It’s a pain in the ass to use and if a box slides forward you can’t open the cover unless you climb in and pull it back.

Looks exactly like the OEM one for the new tundras - and I love mine. I’m super impressed with it.

Yes it does. I had to drill some holes and route the drain tubes behind the factory bedliner, but other than that, it was a a quick (under an hour) and easy install.

WeatherTech makes a decent one- 3 Panels Didn't want a Canister on such a short bed.
Seems good so far and not alot of Plastic B.S. to rot in the Sun, watertight so far. Bought it direct on their site in Dec.
