Yeah, lol, This was well BEFORE the "Borrowed", or "Liberated" golf cart incident and subsequent fireworks display....... (I had little to NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT! My 14 year old son.....well.......Mike is a BAD influence! , even though it was my overheard idea and my son RJ jumped in and started the damn thing....... )

All kidding aside, I love all the guys and gals that make these things! Some I have met before, adore meeting new ones, but always a great time with all of them! I'm no stranger to memorials, those that know me know why, and Tom Papp I never met personally, but have, in spirit, with the great people I've met over this past year.

Quite a few of us are showing up Friday night, RD! Saturday night, I will not be involved in, but I can guarantee some sort of shennanigans will likely be involved. Video and photographic evidence will abound!

You gotta love Skip (Luckystiff) for coming up with that whole deal! We talked about it a little and then he ran with it and made that one happen. He and I neither one figured that kind of turnout, and actually, there were many not in that pic that were there!

Kinda like Nordie and Skip did with Temple Bar in March (which is looking to be one HUGE deal this year), and Boost and Beerjet with the Big River trip in June (That was a blast!). All will probably blossom into annual gatherings, or events, if you will.

The "eastsiders" (My buds) over on PB will likely develop an annual PHX memorial event for another fallen comrade (Well before his time) at Saguaro Lake in Mesa, Az. (would LOVE to see some of the RD and SoCalJetBoats crew at THAT one!).

My schedule may be pretty full this season!

I was there for a little bit this morning. Saw RD, Finnegan, Flanigan, Scarlotta, Campbell Carl and met a lot of other people. Lots of nice boats down there...even if most were jets.

It is just about the perfect weather day for this event. Water might be a "tad" cold at 54* :boobeyes: But the air temp will be in the 70's.:thumbsup

Great weather and incredible turn-out. At least 80 boats at the Elsinore Marina launch ramp by 10:30am and more still coming in.

I was sitting in the red and white daycruiser across the cove from everyone else most of the day. You guys don't get up very early do ya? I was at the ramp at 8 and was all alone! Wrong day to leave the ski at home for sure.
I counted 108 boats at around 1pm but I think there were more still coming in. Gotta love it when even the citizen patrol blue hairs pull up on shore and start watching the races. Good times fo so

I wanted to post a link to the website for the photographer that was out with me today.

If you see something you like, let him know. If you see something you want to purchase, let him know. He can send you a CD with several photos and you can get them printed or he can get them printed for you. He also has done large prints/posters for some of his drag racing customers.

He has just started posting pics from today and will probably take a couple days to get all of them posted. I know he took around 500 pictures. Be sure to check back oftin to see if he got a good pic of your ride.
