2015 JK. Looks like the RVI2 or 3 works well by not pushing against the seat, and or seat adjustment bar on the front of the seat on a JK.
whats working for you? I’ll add , class C. No air brakes.

picked up a BlueOx Patriot 3. Does its job.
Got an awesome deal, so it was worth it.

if I was going from scratch, AirForce 1 braking system would be installed

also check out Air Force one braking. They have a few different styles.

Buddy has it on his JK.. I like it a lot

I use NSA ready brake.... surge type.. easy and all mechanical ....All surge... nothing that relies on power or vacuum


If I had to do it over aging I'd probably use the Stay-in-play.....

NSA tow bar and surge brake here as well. Don’t care for electronic stuff that can fail. Air brake systems won’t work on a class C without air brakes. KISS is my go to. Invisibrake may be great, but pricy imo.

Several thousand miles towing an outfitted JLU behind a class c with the brake buddy with no issues. One emergency stop in that time when I was cut off coming though Vegas, the rig stops better with the jeep in tow than it does without. Had I not had the brake setup on the jeep we would have hit the jackass that cut me off. Install was pretty straight forward, although I did add some diodes to the brake light harness. 100% would not tow a jeep behind a class c without some brake system in place.

A ReadyBrake hack...

I didn't like the way NSA has the cable attaching to the brake pedal...

can be applied to any unit that has a cable attached to the pedal

just to add I got a set of wireless taillights that usb charge. I want to tow my gmc turuck and didn't want to wire it up like i did the jeep. They worked better than my wired lights.
I made this bar that goes in my receiver. Searched online for a product like this and couldn’t find any, so I made 1. Made a couple more also. Going to try and see if anyone on Etsy or EBay wants one.

I ran a 4 conductor with trailer plugs inside the frame rail. Just plug in the front and rear and good to go.

Why not just use a toad beak light wiring harness that uses existing brake lights, you already ran the wire the same way.

After many years of making my own using the little square diodes and splicing into the OEM wiring, 2 years ago I switched to the Curt plug-n-play harness... unfortunately just recently had a diode fail in the harness. Unable to change one diode, you must replace the plug-n-play part. Otherwise it's a very simple clean install which I'll do again.

1. I’m cheap. The kit that ties into the factory harness is upwards of $800 last I checked.
2. This 2021 gladiator has a much more complicated wiring harness, all 3 brake lights can work independently of each other, so not as simple as 4 diodes and 4 wires tapped into the rear lights as it used to be.
4. Can move this easily to my next vehicle. While I don’t have plans on changing my vehicle, when I do make changes, they seem to happen quite suddenly.

Air Force 1 has been the best toad brake system I've tried. Have had it on 2 coaches (one Spartan one Freightliner) and 2 toads (Jeep and Raptor).

that expensive harness is likely the one that's offered by MOPAR ?..

I installed the MOPAR harness in a friends JK... that was $450 a couple of years ago... Nice piece. Extensive install and very over engineered IMO.. but it is nicely made.
