If you want the most money, I would wait till spring.

let a few peeps know that it might be on the market soon (if word of mouth sells it, great). Otherwise, I would wait until the timeline of the LA Boat Show to list it (February).

sounds like you need to start a 2FF "What's it worth" thread lol

Depends on the boat your selling. Condition, age, asking price. Some boats sell no matter what. If it’s a run of the mill boat I’d wait.

I sold both my last 2 boats in the month of October for asking price.

What’s the harm in trying for 2 weeks is how I looked at it

Factor in interest (I know...everybody pays cash), storage fees, and other items to see if it's worth the wait.

You could wait for spring, but then again -the economy is still hot right now, and interest rates continue creeping up. This may be the last gasp to get ALL the used boat money.

I’d go with this. Home sales in LA and OC are down 20%. A lot of speculation due to interest rates. I would try right now, 6 months is a long time. Never know what could happen.

You are going to get a lot of tire&rudder kickers, before you sell it. Might as well start now. It will give you an idea what is wrong with your boat, and give you time to make the adjustments when the market gets hot in the spring.
You'll have to give it away, from now until the first 90 degree day in Havasu. ;)

Tried to sell my center console last winter around this time. Nothing but tire kickers trying to pick it up for peanuts. So I pulled it off the market and relisted it in March. Had it sold for my asking price in less than a week.

I would wait until March

But I did float out the idea to a couple people this month that my Formula was going to be up for sale soon like mentioned above just to get the word out. I'm still waiting to sell it until spring time tho

The market really slowed up in the last 60 days, I think the boating bubble is about to pop, prices on boats like homes are way over priced at the moment. Daytona’s I have sold in recent years are now selling for $25,000 more then they were 2 years ago. Interest rates are going up and if things don’t go well in the mid terms then things are going to get sketchy. We just sold our house for this reason, I think things are going to normalize soon.

Bottom line if you wait it may be worse.

New angle on the 2FF bait post and sales pitch, I like it.

List it, see what happens. I'd only advertise with an email address to contact you. That eliminates the calls from tire kickers and dumbass people who can't figure out a computer

Most my boats were sold around Thanksgiving to Christmas time.
