So long story short, this car was bought from Can-am through a dealership for racing purposes. Originally the original guy got a photo copy of the MSO as he hadn't taken delivery of it at the time but wanted a paper trail. The car was delivered to him and the build started, the shop that was helping went out of business shortly after. I have the car now and the copy of the MSO but only used it a few times before I picked up the Tatum. I want to sell this thing now as I'm looking to get into a Polaris NorthStar but need direction on getting a title for it.

Go back to the dealer that originally delivered it? Or get an inspection and get a bonded title.

You need a MSO from the OG dealer then you can go to the DMV and start the paperwork

Dealer is out of business, happened during the build and he wasn't notified so a copy is all that I have.

Looks like an inspection and bonded title is in order unless I can sell it in the mean time.

Good luck!

I went through a very similar deal here in OR with a sled and I ended up having to go back to BPR via one of their regional reps to get it sorted. It was a 2 year fiasco.

Looking back, it would have been much easier to get someone to register it in a state that doesn’t require titles, then “sell” it back to me.

I had it inspected and registered as it had never been titled or registered until I acquired it. It's in the NV system but I never looked at trying to get a title for it. I have some connections with BRP so I might try that and see what they can do. If I can get an original MSO it would make the titling process and selling much easier.
