There's something wrong with that picture.
The head is still attached to the body....lol

Last year my dog was bit by a baby rattler on his paw as he was sniffing around the perimeter of the fence at the dog park. His foot swelled a bit the following day with no visible marks other than him limping a bit. I took him to the vet and he found 2 small puncture marks on top of his foot under his fur. After the meds treatment and cold therapy treatments he was good as gold. Total bill was about $1000.00
If you walk your dog or your dog plays in rural areas keep an eye out for those little buggers. There's also trainers that can teach your dog to avoid them instead of be curious about them.
Thanks for the reminder Shintoo.

Ive seen more this year then all of last year already. Last 4 of 5 desert jobs had rattle snakes. Even when it was still cold as shit. I smash em with the Excavator lol. But it's still shitty because there is a lot of hand work on some of the jobs I do and once you see one every stick looks like a dam snake.

… There was a rattler that apparently had been under my motorhome up at Lake Oroville for quite a while… I thought it was a length of hose rolled up under there… then one day the neighbors dog came out from under the motorhome with a really fat face… I looked under there and went for my 30/30 Marlin…end of the Rattler…
… The dog was never in pain… He was his happy self… the entire couple of weeks it took for the swelling to go down🤷🏽‍♀️
