Got my enclosed trailer out today and noticed all the tires are done..

Went to fireman and from the time I got there to the time I left was 16 minutes.. I don’t even turn the truck off anymore when I go down there if they aren’t busy.

4 new tires, valve stems and balanced..

The reason it says 18 minutes is I was bullshitting with the guy at the counter for two minutes about supercat

I’m shocked at how bad they were with how little this thing travels. I’d bet this thing doesn’t have 6-7,000 miles on it?

I’m guessing it’s turning with the spread axles

Torsion axles, low quality Chinese tires.

Torsion axles do not evenly spread the load across both axles, and they flex when turning.
If your trailer has been pulled out of level its even worse because the rear axle will be carrying the load (if the hitch is too high).

Very difficult to find good quality tires unless you order them.
Most tire shops only have the cheap shit in stock because most people only shop price.

I have heard really sharp turns and going over curbs (like backing into the driveway without an approach) kills trailer tires- but what do I know...
I replace mine every 3 years, and they dont have man miles on them.

I’m going to stop by there tomorrow…

What brand did you put on? I’m trying to do a little bit of research now on whether to use trailer tires or go to an LT

My son in law stayed in Havasu until today because he had to have a SXS tire re-mounted. He got there (Tireman) at 7:15am, 8th in line and he was out in 20 mins.

That's a pit good stop all things considered...
I'm thinkin you have an axle alignment issue.....that's a shit ton of scrub on that tire shown. What did the shop have to say about? Maybe pull a string line across them to check for alignment?

I met Nick the owner of tireman before he opened his shop. He is always been honest and upfront and stands behind everything that they do! Nick and his manager Zack do a great job! I have them do all my tires and all my break and alignment work on all my vehicles. I highly recommend them.

We’d like to hear the story from the person who flat topped a trailer tire sideway…..reverse?

LT. I have LT on my utility trailer, flatbed and enclosed.
Boat trailer has trailer tires and the ToyHauler has a Goodyear Endurance

I've had issues with multiple tires on my boat trailer. Carlisles and Geenballs started having tread separations on the 2nd season. Goodyear Marathons were better, but would start failing in 3 seasons. I switched to Goodyear Endurance tires and have not had any failures with them. I just bought 6 new Endurance tires for my trailer after realizing that I had ran the previous set of Endurance for 5 years.

I have the exact same trailer, upgraded tires to Goodyear endurance and have no issues. I guess 10K plus miles and show little wear., might want to take a look at those axles.

I feel gyped.

After blowing a tire on the way to the Dam Dam run, and then blowing the spare on the way home.. I called and ordered 7 new ones from Tire Man.

Took 45 mins from the time I got there. I dropped RDs name but they said they just couldn’t give me his level of service.

The other day I had a tire separate on my dually.. I called them at 4:50 pm. (At the time I didn’t know what it was). They said we will order two tires and have them here in the am.

Went in they found where it had separated put two new tires on the front and they said it was under warranty because they were pretty new. No charge. Tipped the kid that did the work 20.00 and back on the road.

Love this place

I bought a used trailer for my stand up ski and wanted new tires put on before I headed back to CA. I was in and out of the Tireman in like 15 minutes and the kid even greased my Bearing Buddy’s.

I walked out of the other tire store in town after waiting a hour.

Ill always go to the Tireman from now on.

I put a set of Endurance on my trailer 4 years ago. I had to wait for them. Nobody had them in stock. The good news was the date code showed only a few weeks old. I could immediately notice how much better the trailer towed and it was easy push by hand as well.

They just made the drive cross country without incident as well.

I see the issue. Number 1 that's a proper triple axel trailer. So, it obviously takes 24 minutes. Number 2 you're not river Dave. Based on DWC' experience that adds 14 minutes to the time. That's 38 mminutes.7 minutes. I can't explain the 7 minutes. Maybe it was the boat name or you gave one of them aa ticket once.

As for tires. Boat tires are nothing special. But on average it travels a mile from storage to the marina. The toy hauler I have Hercules H901. Not cheap, but heavy duty tires. Noticed a difference right away.

Tire question. Those with custom wheels do you find it tough at times to find your tires when needed (right away). Im in the prosses of haveing a trailer built and i wanted the basic (normal) set up. Wheels that have no special offset and tires that I can get anywhere at any given time.

For sure. This trailer has 20x8” wheels and it runs 255/45r20 tires, which I’ve found most shops have on hand. I just needed 7 so I had to order them in.

I never did check the date code, but after blowing 2 in one day I chalked it up to dry rot and changed them all out.

That trailer has a noticeable spread between the axles. That will grind them down very fast when turning. Its like haveing a triple axle.
