So, has a firm court date been set for trial?

I'd love to see someone due a play by play story on this deal and get it in front of the nation's boat owners. This shit happens far too often and needs to be made well known. I've been taken by one of these assholes and still trying to collect $7K. So many folks talked highly of the guy and were shocked he'd screw folks. I was not alone either.

Dave, this would be a great chance to tell a story needed telling and gain exposure nationwide. Hire ya an eager beaver cub reporter and let them show what true modern day pirate is lurking in boatyards everywhere.

confirmed trial date now.

The Court has cleared it’s calendar and has provided us with a Firm Trial date regarding the above referenced case. The Trial date previously scheduled in October was continued to the new date of December 3, 2019. The Trial is expected to be December 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th if needed. Testimony will not be taken on December 3rd and will start on December 4th.


Please inform us if you have a preferred date you would like to testify on and whether you will need assistance in traveling to Kingman for the Trial. Also, please plan to come for one day but be aware you may need to stay for two days.

Didn't want to be sounded like a smart azz back in august 15. but I was 100% sure, his lawyers will drag this out. It will go to no end with criminals like him. They always have money stashed away for defence. Given only a $20000 bail was a slap in the face for those boat owners, and have an excuse of family matters to delay is a total BS too. He's lucky he didn't wrong a gangster or a HA for that matter, he might not be on this planet by now.

According to the article his Lawyer had an emergency. I would hope that is the case, I can’t imagine a lawyer saying he has a family emergency for a client. If he was found to be lying about a family emergency for the benefit of a client surely he would be disbarred??

I see the pattern. The last headline was 8 counts dropped that may or may not be related to troubles being a part of the trial. Now they postpone again and parties travel to the trial for nothing wasting time and money.

I feel their game is the same as those with speeding tickets where they ask for a continuance if the officer shows until they dont and case is dismissed.

At one point it's not worth all the bs and nobody wants to push the issue to get nothing out of it except vengeance.

Jury selection on the 24th, trial to start on the 25th.
I am scheduled to testify the morning of the 26th. Think there is about 19 people who will be testifying.

Honestly with how slow the wheels of justice are turning it’s no wonder why people commit crime like this.
When you figure a 10 year sentence and about 3 mill stolen.. that’s 300k a year to sit in jail plus he got to life th life ahead of it. Out in 5 is 600 a year?

he’d have to do 15-20 or pay restitution to make any of this remotely swalloable

I put myself in the shoes of the boat owners and feel for every single one of them, especially if they thought they could do business with him on a handshake deal.

I swear I think I've seen this boat a couple of times at Whiskey Slough Marina in Stockton. Wanted to snap a picture but the crew on the boat was ghetto gang banger for sure.

There is a 28’ Heat that is black but with old school flames on it at Whiskey Slough but I have never seen that boat in the picture there. I used to see that boat for sale on the internet when I was shopping for mine.
