this is cool every time I've gone under the bridge I always wounder how much dirt was moved
Nice to see some Vintage Havasu....:thumbup:
Can you imagine how quiet the channel was in the 70's?
Thanks for posting this! :thumbup::thumbup:
I have question.....is the right side of the channel deeper or did they eventually take out the dirt?
I need to go to my Moms and find the pictures of my Brother and Sister sitting on the blocks in the channel while they were building it. Also for those that haven't been inside the Jack in the Box they use to have cool pics from when the bridge was built.
Good question.
But check these ones out... what a vision to put the bridge out there.
What a huge endeavor! Who paid for that and what year was it?

New song added to our boating Playlist [emoji1]The pre-school song we all sang was actually a true story, which is the reason England needed to take the bridge down.
Good question.

I'd be interested to know if there were any left over blocks after they put it together. It'd be funny if they stood around them scratching there heads like WTF! Lol. I always have left over shit when I put stuff back together. Lol

several years back when we all lost a friend from the "hotboat" days, a few members looked for and found a stone thru the havasu lighthouse association. Kenny's memorial sits at the south side of the channel facing Thompson bay, I still visit it often, dust it off and leave a CL.
Cool info and pics of Site 6...View attachment 411856 this is shot when McCullough would fly people in at site 6 (which originally was an emergency landing strip for B29 ' s during the war )to sell them property. :thumbsup
