I have found the RangerCrew to be more functional for our riding uses (mostly trail rides) these days (not mobbing desert anymore). I honestly can not compare the two, it just wouldn't be fair.
I enjoyed the RZR a lot, even though I had not ever gotten into the details of the suspension the way I have with the RangerCrew it was a fun in the desert and a blast in the dunes. There is no doubt that the ride quality of the RangerCrew is not comparable to the RZR, but I have made tons of improvements on it from stock and am happy with where it is now. It is crazy to feel how different it is from stock.
I say that its built for a purpose and functionality, not for speed. This is where I no longer question my decisions for its build up. Wherever we end up, we have everything we need on the trail or a beach, and all is accessible from the back seat or the bed (cooler, pop up shade, chairs, floaties, paddleboards, music, not to mention some tools, spare tire and parts). Add the AC with the enclosed cab, and take my money all over again, my wife loves it. I heard a comment when getting out of it at a poker run last year, I can't forget it... "is there a bathtub in that thing? You guys are so clean."

I think the RangerCrew has a "day use overlander attitude" sometimes, its just functional. It has been nicknamed the "Camp Cruiser" or aka "Party Buggy".
