My mom has one and loves it. My mom and dad take that to the river whenever the mob out.

I’ve only seen a handful of G wagons I like. It’s usually the ones that are all merc’d out and done up nice.

We love our S63 though. A LOT of fun to drive.

The doors feel cheap. I know it's an odd complaint but spending that kind of coin on a truck I would expect a solid door close. Most buy them due to their weight and the associated business tax write off.

A buddy of mine just bought a gently used G550 for is wife and it is pretty cool. Has some performance mods on it and some crazy side exhaust. I think they look pretty cool but I would not one for myself. I think they make nice rides for the girls though.

@Tank I'm trying to figure out how and why you have the boat pulled in that way? 🤷‍♂️🤔 Also do you run into any problems not running a plate on the Mercedes?

Have her drive a lambo Urus and see what she thinks. Very reliable, good prices in 2022/2023 models like new. I know 20 owners, they all love them, practical and the G is truly not.

Figure 250 for a nearly new Urus, but almost new one for 210 or so. They are insane to drive, I know I was behind on last year in the mountains. And You may want to check insurance rates, many G wagons are Stolen, they might be astronomical.

G wagons have a black theft thing, ghetto thug style culture. Most a vin switched and never found, huge losses for insurance. I would never even sit in one in LA, I have fired my gun enough at thugs in my life, you might get car jacked, no joke.

Buy the 63. :)

I have a 2019 GLE 63s coupe. It has a longer wheelbase, lower center of gravity, handles like a car, better aerodynamics, and tons of power and still gets about 17-18 mpg even with a 700hp V8. It too eats tires but the only tires available for it are 22" soft compound Continentals. And yes a 6' adult can sit in the back with no problem.
I also have a 2020 E 63s sedan. Stupid fast, relatively good mileage for a 600+ hp car. 23-24 mpg on the freeway.

I'm a sucker for the selenite grey.

I've got an SL550, GLE350 and CL63 and soon might be adding an E53. AMG is definitely the way to go if you can afford the maintenance. The GLE350 is garbage and I complain every time I drive it. I threaten to trade it in on a G Wagon but it's my wife's car and she likes it so....

I got my wife a 2020 GLE 350 4 matic a couple years ago. I kinda like it. It's nothing in comparison to my 63's but for her it's been a really good car. Oh and don't get an E53. You'll be disappointed. Get a W213 E63 or wait until they bring back the V8 in the E in 2026

We have the same GLE but a 2022. It sounds like it has hamsters under the hood rattling around with zero power. Also the electronics on it are janky at best, it never remembers any kind of settings. That's why we wanted to go drive the E53 to see if it's just as janky. if it is we would definitely go with a little older E63.

I drove one. It sucked. I picked this 2020 E63 up this summer. Found it in Louisiana of all places. 4900 miles still under factory warranty and pristine condition. Very happy with it. The heads up display rocks, full screen car play is great, the exhaust note is way better than the 21-23 facelift version. It has the emotion startup which is always fun in the right place and time, usually gives a nice crackle and bang.

They are only good at one thing, getting attention.

They are not “fast”, they do not ride good, they do not handle well.
They also are constantly stolen or have parts stolen off of them.

I’ve known two guys that had them, both didn’t like them, both no longer have them, one was a G550 one was a G63. I got to drive the G63 and wasn’t impressed.

As others have stated, if your wife wants something exotic there are tons of better options.

I agree with many of these statements. Especially, that they get stolen all the time. I'd vote Lambo
Urus or the more mannerly Audi RSQ-8 if looking for a high-end performance SUV

Boats pulled in along the house. Small streets and parking on the beach is a bitch. But that’s how I have to park it to flush it and clean it.

Bought the car out of Florida and put the cig plate on it when it arrived. Car Plates came and I threw em in the trunk. Just never got around to putting them on. It’s a $10 fix it ticket. Been pulled over once for it. Ran no plate on our Yukon for like 7 years. Got pulled over a couple times. I just show them the plate and say yeah I need to put it on. They’re always like ok. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We had a gransport. Fun cars. Pretty under rated. Ours had the Ferrari 360 motor in it. Sound was amazing. My wife always said she dropped an egg everytime it started lol oh, and we ran no plates on it too. 😂

Right after you show em your badge, that just happens to be right next to your license...

Put your money into realestate, drive a Toyota 4runner and watch the bank acount grow🤣

Id agree except thats what Ive done for the last 64 years. 😁

Our advisor said, “at this rate you are going to leave $$$$ to your son” and told us to start spending more money. My wife took that as we need an expensive car. 😁
