Cindy just got home from 4 days in LA, went down for her Mom's 80th birthday.
It was like being without half of my soul.
I showed her this, and we both wished the tech had been available to do this when I took the knee, but...well in 1978, when we became "officially" engaged, things were different.
When ya know, ya just know. And clearly, you two know.
Mandy gave ya good advice. Made me think.
Cindy and I have been together since 1976. Married since 1980.
Never go to sleep at night without kissing her.
Solve any disagreements that pop up quickly...remember...you are a team, you are together, and you never put anyone or anything between you.
In all our years, we have never gone to bed mad at each other. Life is too short for that.
And as the years pass, well, the neat thing is that the longer you are married the stronger the bond becomes. It is like you begin to share your minds like you share your hopes and dreams.
It is magic.
And now....it is yours for the taking and making.

Every time I say yes dear she gets that she is being unreasonable and we laugh. Now that doesn’t mean that she admits that she is wrong or anything like that but we still laugh which is the key. Congrats buddy, they say there is a ass for every seat...... and a spouse for all of us. I said I would never get married, nor have kids. It was river houses, boats, airplanes, and cold cold beer!! Then I meet my wife. I have two wonderful daughters 5 and 9 and a wife that still makes me smile after 15 years of marriage. My kids are a part of my identity now, they go everywhere with me.
I wish you guys the same happiness, your a smart guy and figured out this was the one for you.

No Homo Bro. Love will make you do shit you never imagined, keep that smile on both your faces! That is the real secret.

A few pieces of advice, don't stop being individuals. Keep racing, drinking nights with your friends etc, tell her to do the same. Absence makes the heart grow fonder is actually true. Date nights are essential to continue to appreciate each other and keep things in perspective.
