Anyone see the reel that says “I’m not worried about my husband cheating, I’m worried about him talking to Randy about a tractor that just needs a little love but it’s at a good price.” Yep. That’s how I feel…

I didn’t fully believe my husband when he said he was picking up a scissor lift on monday morning all weekend. I woke up to hearing the trailer scrape on the driveway….yep a scissor lift. I think I’m going to go adopt another dog now… 🤣

Scissor lifts get expensive when used in a residential application. Smashed hands from hitting a wall while holding the rail, hitting the side of the motorhome while washing it, wiping out overhead stuff while changing light bulbs, ripping off cabinet doors, ect.

Never thought about it for washing the RV and enclosed trailer. That’s a good use!

Your boat made our boat look tiny when they were parked next to each other at absolute. I would want a scissor lift just to get on it at a launch ramp haha

He did not expect it to be that heavy. Thankfully it was a 20 minute drive home.
I’m sure it’s electric. Park it inside and take care of the hydraulics and batteries. We had one at the company I used to work for. They left it outside and it didn’t do so good after a couple years.

It says it’s a 2630es JLG- from what I googled- it says it is electric. Thanks for the warning. It’ll definitely be parked inside.

26’ should be the working height and 30” should be the width of the platform. JLG is the brand name.

I think you’re doing it wrong sounds like a dui situation 😆

No dui. It just is what it is. When they fix that insulation I bet they pull the joystick the wrong way and hit the ceiling joist with the basket.

Oh no, don’t put that bad energy on the garage. We already had bad luck with the boat this season 🤣

Trust me, I'm just playing around I do know. I've been on the wrong end of the joystick hitting walls, doorways and ceiling grids. Also moving the wrong direction and pinning myself between the rails and obstructions like conduits and ducting. Regularly almost tipping those over on steel plates crossing trenches back in the day. Now that I'm the boss, I just pay people to run into shit for me.

I know its a given, but have him make sure to be extra cautious for power lines or anything energized. Always freaked me out being high on them when we run cable.

Will do! I went inside shortly after this picture. It gives me anxiety with how high it could go. Especially since one of the wheels needs to be repaired so it doesn’t drive “straight”

I actually had no idea he uses a scissor lift once a week at a job site. This is why I don’t like to know what he actually does at work. Just like to know that the Costcos and Trader Joe’s fridges are working so I can go shopping.

Fick it I’m gonna get one.. lol. I love it
He’s having too much fun with it…. He needed to grab something off the top shelf in the garage. Just hops in the lift, sets the box down, grabs what he wanted and puts it back. No more balancing and carry a heavy box down just to put it back up again.

He is fixing the knuckle on one of the wheels this week so it can drive straight again without having to do multiple point turns.

My buddy Eric’s dad built a basket we keep at the shop.. forklift is pretty safe now! Fuck the pallet thing I did when I wa Ls a kid and it was sketchy back then. lol
Funny story… a few years ago my dad was helping Robert change the lights at the family‘a shop. I walk in with lunch and see my dad standing on a pallet up in the air doing the wiring. Rob was in control of the forklift. I got mad that he wasn’t up there and put a 60 year old man on a pallet, but he said my dad wasn’t good at operating the forklift so he choose to go up there. That was pretty sketchy.

Sounds like that scissor lift needs an operator mod !!
