The County of Riverside was able to track me down and has requested that I complete and file a 2018 Vessel Property Statement. I believe there had to be a release of title sent out that may have included my information. The boat it self was purchased in Bullhead City, AZ but registered in CA. After the purchase, I re-registered it in AZ. If I do not have proof of storage in AZ what are my options if any to avoid having to suck it up and pay?

I had my CA registered boat in my garage in havasu. Sent pictures of my boat in my garage out of state. Also stated that once it left it has never been back.

It is registered in Arizona, the old owners had it registered in CA. I think I will just send in the paper work with the acceptance letter showing it was purchased in AZ and the current AZ registration and wait and see what happens. Worst case I have to pay, shouldn't be more than a few hundred bucks.

Only reason you should pay then if it was registered in Ca for any second past 1/1/2018. Seriously doesn't matter if it's just for one day.

My boat lives in Havasu in my garage and its registered in CA.
I filled out that form and mailed it with a return receipt then followed up with a phone call.
They don't send me a bill anymore.

Those bastards got me too on my old boat i sold back in March. Gotta hand over $100 and done .. As the new boat is reg'd in az now.
