Up to $4k to spend

Would like built in range finder and/or ballistic compensation built in.

Camera would be cool but not required

Wanting to put on quick release mounts and rotate between my FX air rifle for urban hunting to probably my suppressed .17hmr and a larger caliber, maybe. Certainly the FX and the .17 will be primary host.

Not looking to shoot 1k yards, a couple hundred at very best.

What are the recommendations?

I wonder if the recent election will prompt yall to go find all those missing guns lost in your boating incident’s.

If not, I gonna go buy me a metal detector and go find them. 😂

I have also been looking at thermal scopes.

But for my air rifle. Been sniping pigeons at 90-100 yds, even with wind lately. This thing is fun, 6 for 6 a few days ago.

With thermal, I can go Coyote hunting at night. I ownly need a 250yd range. Its 25cal 700mm barrel.

It drops Coyotes with (38gr pellets 860fps) at 100 yds. Only take head shots.

I have tuned the gun to shoot slugs now, which have 2x the BC of pellets, and they prefer faster bullet speeds. H&N 38 gr slugs at 980fps is 1MOA accurate at 100yds with an occasional 1.5” group. That will get the job done, but I have some ZAN slugs on order, and hoping for sub moa.

Get that figured out and its thermal time.

Hey… Black Friday deals…
Utah Airguns has some pretty good sales going on…. Yes I bought a few things…
Accu Tac is 20% off I think and lots of other stuff,

I have the same M3 as you. And yes, the coyotes are my target audience on this endeavor as they are thick in our neighborhood.

Your not going to believe this..

Pretty sure I have a Raven and a Peregrine Falcon trained. They know the sound of my airgun. They come in, snatch the dead Pigeons out of the back yards, and eat them…

Yes I snipe them off my neighbors roof peaks, if I miss, there is open desert behind us… Honestly its rare I miss, unless I misread the wind

Awesome app, Element Ballistics that works awesome for all guns, but it also has all yhe data for pellets and slugs.

Speaking of Coyotes, the population where I live has exploded in the last two years. I popped this guy right through my open bedroom window with my 25 cal air gun at two in the morning. If I had a Bayonet on the gun I probably could’ve poked him with it.

My suggestion is to leave it on, and see how long the batteries last. 😉

I have a Raytheon thermal that is more than likely outdated now but hits coyotes at 300 yards. Had it for five or six years now problem is it uses 6 9 volt batteries and burns threw them in a good night of hunting. Mounted on gun you must have a rest or shooting sticks because it is heavy

This is one of the reasons I’m going thermal. They continue to build in all the forested areas around us and the dogs are getting pushed out into the neighborhood. I’ve shot 3 now with my suppressed .17HMR, but I have to wait until they are under the street light so I can see them well enough, but that obviously comes with risk of being caught when I send it! 🤣

Been looking at ATN thermal scopes. They seem to have good products and reviews.

If you can try on out before buying would be a great idea and less buyers remorse
