Good to see kids that age fishing and causing no trouble. There’s no signs of trash, litter empty beer cans etc. They handled it better than I would have at that age. Hope the old lady gets the book thrown at here. Any idea where this happened?

Used to
Live in a complex that had 2 small lakes in the center. Tied to the golf course water features.
Couple young boys with back packs came in and were looking at the waterfall were it hit the lake. I knew what they were doing and went down to talk to them before the complex Karen’s got them.
I walked up and they saw me and changed to the oh shit look.
“ lookin for fish? There’s non here. Just ducks coots turtles herons.”
I said do what you want but someone has probably already called security. They relaxed and we talked fish for awhile. And I stayed with them incase security showed up.
Good kids out riding thier bikes trying to fish the golf courses. As they left I yelled at them and threw them a couple fox tails. Wasn’t that hard.

I get it, we have ponds in our private neighborhood and we pay to have them stocked with fish to eat bugs and weeds off the bottom. People come in from other neighborhoods and catch all our fish and we have to restock to keep the ponds in check. Its posted no tresspassing and only use barbless hooks/Catch and Release but they still do it.

Do you know I don’t honestly know, and although it was a catfight and kind of interesting, they old lady was completely out of line and she really crossed the line when she threw their fishing pole in the water that was fucked up

Holy cow, that woman was like a rabid chihuahua.
The kids weren't all that rude until she got in their face. There's a much better way to deliver the message....then call the cop that "backs" her if they don't leave. Getting physical with kids ain't gonna go well for grown adults.
By looks of the lake shore, it appears to be well worn by anglers.

People get tuned up over the dumbest shit. HOA’s crack me up.
Yes, when I was a process sever we were exempt from trespass laws, which included gated communities. Good times.

One time, an HOA member, a grown ass man in Diamond Bar ("The Country") jumped up and down with clinched fist and tears in his eyes in front of a Sheriff's deputy because the deputy told him unless he (the HOA guy) was willing to sign a complaint for trespassing, to leave me alone and let me do my job. Mr HOA was smart enough not to pursue the citizen's arrest because the deputy told him I would probably sue his ass for wrongful arrest.

The same happened in Coto de Caza and Bell Canyon in LA until the gated communities started recognizing the law and just let us in without hassle.

Not trying to argue but would like to learn something ...... what law exempts a process server from trespass laws? Never heard of such a thing.

Penal Code 602.8 (c). There is also another PC code that allows you to drive on a private road otherwise closed to the public while serving process.

In addition, the Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) requires gated communities to allow a process server in to serve process. Years ago you had to provide the name and address of the person being served, but in 2017(?) they updated the law and dropped that requirement. Now all a process server needs is a process server card and CDL.

A licensed PI and his employees can also get in, but it's simply easier to be registered as a process server.

And if a guard refuses you entry into a gated community, they can be served with a summons on behalf of the resident. But not subpoena since a subpoena requires personal service.
