Went with a smaller tree this year. Went all out and bought a new one ;-) I set it up on top of one of my Coleman coolers. I picked a green one to use.

The hubbie and I REFUSE to put up a tree or xmas lights until after thanksgiving day - I like decorating for xmas during the days after thanksgiving.. Distracts me from too much black friday or cyber monday sales! I like the downsizing of a tree idea... I always go with live trees for the smell and look, but they are so expensive nowadays and I am on a retirement pension income so I have to pay attention to expenditures. Looks great!

Kids convinced me to put our 12’ Santa up on Sunday. The rest of the decorations will go up this weekend.

Only real trees in this household, so that will need to wait a little.

I'm not really into putting a tree up in November, but I just bought a new one so I put it up. I decided to go with a table top tree. I actually haven't had a tree in years. I decided it was time to do something. so here it is.

Tradition is getting a living tree, and plant it in the yard the week after Christmas.
8 Italian Stone pines, and 3 Mondell pines, from Home Depot Speed and Marine.
First one was planted in 2013, and is 16-18 feet tall this year, looked like a Charlie Brown tree that first year, about 3' tall Mondell pine. 2017's tree, around 12' now I'd guess, was planted days before my Cabg6 and is thriving.
