Yep fuck them!!!!

They are old enough to know this is wrong. Time the pay the piper!!!

That goes for anyone who knowingly litters smokers and all.

Again your trash is not hard to control. Pack it in pack it out. It’s not like the boat bounced and wind caught a beer can here. They look around. Coast was clear and dumped a full trash can into the ocean.

For those of you who think this isn’t a big deal or they should do 20 hours of community service post your address up. I have loads of cat litter, and other trash I gladly dump on your property.

Seriously these fucktards should have a felony and miss finals for whatever grade they are in forcing them to fall behind
But your driving on rice road is ok? 😁

Rest assured this may very well happen. I’m not the only one that works out there. 🤷🏻‍♂️
For the record I'm not wishing it upon anyone, just pointing out the extremes of the laws that can be applied.

Whatever happened to Shierts? Last posts I recall him writing like a 100 speeding tickets in a day. He still stuck in court everyday with people thag are fighting them.

They charged them with felonies with the intention to drop to mistemeanors for the shock value to these kids and anyone else following the story that have done the same thing but haven't gotten caught. These kids will not have their lives ruined but their lives will be turned upside-down for awhile.
Exactly...any low level lawyer will get this dropped for the majority on that boat... just local DA flexing due to the internet pressure...

Which is exactly why this type of behavior is so prevalent today in America.

There are no consequences for most, and the parents would rather defend the behavior than hold them accountable.

The message is clear, this type of behavior will not be punished in a manner that deters it from happening again or by others. And as a result, more of it will continue to happen.

We as a society all reap what we sow.

Welcome home, we'll be expecting your support and vote for Trump and other Republicans this Nov. I knew you would pull your head out of your ass eventually.

They are just dumb kids that made a mistake.. punish sure.. ruin their lives for it? Yikes..
Agreed. They need a good ass whoopin and a big fine and a lot of community service. But not a felony charge.

IMO……..

All the teens are getting a HUGE punishment from Social Media. They are being hit where it hurts, in their world.

To me, that is what will keep the next group of teens from doing this. The Social Media impact has been extremely hard, where I live. They are having trouble just walking the halls at Boca Raton High School. Let alone, going anywhere.

As a side note…….. There are some funny posts in this thread. The funniest is whoever said “confiscate the boat and leave it in the hot sun all summer”. My first thought was…….. That is exactly how 90% of the boats in Florida are already kept. LOL

My boat has been sentenced to 24/7/365 in the hot sun as it sits on my boatlift.

Another thought was…….. There is a chance that the owner of the Intrepid is a complete stand up guy, that has been devastated by the act of his irresponsible son. I know that if I were him, I would pull the boat out of the water and store it for the next 6 months OR pull the boat and have the name changed. Right now, I would hate to be behind the wheel of that boat. I am sure it’s the middle finger solute every where he goes. If it’s on a lift, many local boaters would be quite happy to fill it with trash too. I am guessing that boat will be “for sale” very soon.

All fair points.

I do believe that at least in my generation, there would have been no necessity for an “investigation” to find the owner of the boat.

Once the video went public, my parents, my friends parents, would have handed me off to the police and told them to call when I needed a ride home. There would have been no “hiring” a lawyer or any of that. It would have been immediate taking of responsibility. And knowing that kept us from doing overly stupid stuff.

Secondly, in this society we have become, some take pleasure, joy and pride in being the bad guy. Being on social media. Showing how they can flaunt the rules. Some now cheer on those who flaunt societal norms. I’m more disappointed in the parents than the kids. Kids do stupid shit, parents are supposed to make sure they remember it, not hire a lawyer to defend it.

Only difference in this type of behavior and behavior of bad youth's in decades past is the internet and smart phones.... kids vandalized stuff in the past and if they got caught, it was a localized event and they were punished and learned their lesson...I did.. This was a littering event that has gotten global notariety and is being made out to be something bigger than it was....why because the internet cancel/dox culture makes it such a major event...
