I saw the post card from earth show on Sunday so I thought I should review it before you spend a bunch of money to be view a environmental propaganda film

First the price of the seats can go over 350.00 per seat I don't actually know how much higher they go over that but I cheeped out and and only spent 200.00 a seat and they were good seats Level 3 in the center.
They recommend getting to the show an hour before the doors open and that is an 45 minutes before the show starts and thats what we did, only to stand in lines for the entire hour and after the doors open on the lower level they have some robotic displays but there is no room for thousands of people to see these displays or have any real chance of interaction with the display and we were only 100 people from the front of the fifth line.
Now they have food and drink and alcohol plus all the Sphere memorabilia available on all the levels all over priced and after standing around plus the taxi ride or long walk they have you over a barrel for refreshments

The show visually and audio quality is fantastic they even have a breeze and smells that go very well with the production it really is spectacular sensation with the vibrations that you feel in your body.

The basic story is we crawled out of the ocean and became the dominate life form that has raped the land, and many old human civilizations have thrived and then wiped themselves out only to move to another area of the earth to do the same thing over and over again until we killed Mother Earth, even as we created huge orbital space colonies. The only solution was to send a many thousands of husband and wife teams to start over on the on other planets that happen to have water and air but no other life, they terra form these new plants with some miracle technology and I guess the new civilization won't rape the new planet. after the show there was very little applause I'm sure I was not the only person disappointed in the story line and after the show all of the memorabilia stands were closed and I'm sure its because not enough people will buy after being fed this Bulshit

I will never return I will not support the shit they are dishing out, Maybe you support this view and by all means you should go, you will be very happy, but I felt like I was duped into going to a religious scientology style indoctrination only they did not ask for donations after as they got me up front.
Now the show is over and no taxi service area outside and the thousands of people people are herded down a sidewalk outside we are not allowed to use the overhead walk that goes through the convention center unless you have a convention pass, we all have to walk to the polatso to get a taxi and only if you know how to access that part from the street, some of this maybe because of F1 preparations had not yet been fully removed but the taxi driver that dropped us off said it has never been very organized

My wife and I went there a while back and I was a little irritated with the message of Postcards from Earth.

As you said, the visuals etc were spectacular but I wasn't happy with the focus on our perceived destruction of the planet.

They could have focused on all the beauty instead.

The U2 show the next day was worth every penny spent though.
Absolutely incredible.

If they’re so worried about saving the planet, maybe they shouldn’t have built a gigantic ball out of LED screens that uses a shit ton of power, but rather put on a play in the woods somewhere.

Or did they touch on the facts of how environmentally unfriendly the solar fields, windfarms, and Electric cars are? My guess is no, that would not fit the narrative.

the sound and video is incredible, by far the most state of the art compared to anything in the world.

that said the total woke BS was a total turn off, even thought the show was dazzling.

the eagles in concert there was incredible. takes going to a concert to an entire different level. no woke BS for the concert.

i agree about it being woke, but that being said, the audio visual aspect of it was so overwhelming i didnt leave feeling pissed off. instead just rolled my eyes, was glad i saw it but would not go see it again. i do recommend seeing it once, just know what you are going to be fed.

If'n you were in So Cal growing up, you should have attended Laserium at the Griffith Park Observatory. Can you imagine seeing Dark Side of the Moon or Song Remains the same in this place? It would be mind blowing.

The Sphere is 1.4 Billion in debt and the loan is due, they still owe several contractors millions as well.

I like the Sphere, but it seems like it's a sinking ship at the moment.

Driving down the I-15 to work every morning and it looks like the moon I actually look forward to.

Taking my Mom to see the Eagles there next month. I wanted to go see postcard from earth last weekend when I was there but I talked to a guy at the craps table that said the SAME thing you did about its message, so I passed. Glad I did lol

I was shocked at what Harris spent on her Sphere ad, reportedly 650k. Some argument on time length though.

Me too. Saw the show a year ago. Took note of the theme but it did not distract from the fact that it was the coolest audio visual display I’ve ever seen. Nothing else even comes close. My advice, if you are thinking about going, just do it. You will be amazed, at least I was.

I hope it dies a slow painful expensive death, pushing a political agenda.

Is postcards from earth the only show they do besides concerts?

From what I’ve seen, yes. We looked at going again, two weeks ago, and Postcards was the only show offered, other than a limited showing of the U2 concert (filmed, not live).

Laserium was pretty mind blowing back in those days.

Or, was that just the weed???
