Oh the good old Hot Boat days back in 2007 when we all bailed over RDP because the beer was colder and freedom of speech. I’m pretty sure someone was going to make T-shirts for the beginning members back then.

#66. Im pushing 11 years! I took a long hiatus from RDP for at least seven years. Only been back on for less than a year. I enjoy it as it is the only forum I post on. I browse some others if I need a car question answered or something but that is about it.

Hot Boat was fun and lots of drama which I don't miss. However I do miss lots of the women in thong bikini photos!! hahaha!

Haven't had to "go all beaverretriever" lately? I don't recall the exact circumstances, but remember the phrase being thrown around some awhile back.

Oh yeah. Just a clown that had some jealousy issues and I wanted to kick his ass. I had my anger issues back then and was part of the drama more than once but got along with almost everyone on HB. I met some great friends on there and of course you can't have friends without enemies; but that was HotBoat. I was tame compared to many on there. My God. My hiatus for seven years away from forums was good. I grew up a lot since then as most of us do. Heck, I was in my 20s when I got on Hot Boat forums. I turned 45 this last Monday!!!! Crazy!!!!

It's truly amazing how mellow I have become. Nothing pisses me off any more (except liberals ). It's definitely a better way to be. I realized how blessed I am in life and nothing anyone can say will upset me.

That it was. I'm not afraid to chat about it.

Short story goes like this: Literally my first day out with my new boat (cat) I pulled in to a slot in the channel late in the day but it was not steep enough and my boat slid up to far and tapped the wall pretty good. All it did was put a small chip in the sponson but my goodness did that open me up to get shit on the forums, due to everyone I was parked next to was on HB at the time so it went viral quickly. One guy just couldn't let it go and made some personal attacks towards me. I didn't appreciate the way he was treating me and I said next time I saw him he better be prepared for a beating. I had a long fuse then, but when it hit the end I would lose it.

I am definitely a different person now and literally don't even have a fuse to light. I think it is a combo of lots of things and of course just getting older. I got super in to taking care of my body and mind and I work out 5 to 7 days a week, fight some (in a gym not on the street. haha), and ride bicycles a lot. Riding bicycles is by far the best thing for the mind and body and keeps me thinking straight.

I also realized life is too short to let dick heads get under your skin. I can't remember the last time I flipped someone off on the freeway because they cut me off or got mad about anything for that matter. My life is so blessed and great and I truly don't know how things could get much better. Great wife, family and friends that are always there to support me no matter what. As those dumb t-shirts say; "life is good"!
