Is the wire gauge same as Merc?give it a shot..i would use marine crimp eyelet/splice terminals that have the heat shrink.test under full amp load and feel for wires hot to touch..Good luck
I won’t know until this weekend…. These claim 30/40 amp rating. Feels like a #10 wire in my hand. I’ll inspect when I look at the motors.

It just seems hard to find the pig tails part number. I can find the trim one so I guess it’s just the same? 🤷🏼‍♂️

The only thing that should be run off the main power of the motor is gauges. Anything else should be run off a separate stand alone accessory circuit.

So typically what happens after running hard (over 30-60 mins at 5500+ rpm) relay lets go and smart craft alarm goes crazy as the motor tries to stay running. Motor dies within seconds of that happening.

Turn the key off and on. Gauges work including smart craft and starter motor will work but no fire.

Swap the relay and motor fires right back up.

Check the coils. Nothing on the motor would normally draw that much current.

Go through all the grounds on the powerhead and make sure they are clean.

Headed to Havasu on the 21st! The Church is going big this year….
28’ Skater with fresh 450’s …
37’ DCB gets fresh 500’s….
And last but not least, The Argo Cat 23’ ….
Chicks are digging outboards, and the Church accommodates hot chicks without a ride.

When i dropped off 28 to Bully & we ran it. We both agreed it would be a monster to 125 & do everything properly like a big stv & accelerate HARD. Last he told me he has no reason to chase big #s in his 28 or his 37 DCB hopefully

Big Power is waiting in Havasu!! Can’t wait! View attachment 1496339 View attachment 1496340
The 28 Skater with 450s & propped for acceleration has to be incredible, like a huge STV, thru the mid range & out of the turns.
Rev I know you are a small boat single OB lover but I'm guessing that 28 may "break" you.

Mother Merc unveiling the 15" mid for all of these V8's sure will be nice for the smaller boats.

The Church is testing some new performance modifications to the 450 Mercury engine's tomorrow ….the 450’s on this Church DW are now sporting 580 HP. Testing at 6:30 am. Spinning 37 wheels, it should be very fast. The Motec team came from Australia and a North Carolina.
I’ll post more after testing.

Please please please be very careful
Top #s have taken too many people
The DW's pack a ton of air.
I know you are smart
Negative trim is definitely your friend
