Yes, that is my boat. Mike Seebold was the original owner. Custom Carbon/Kevlar lay up and a hot 2.5 Mercury power plant.
It was featured in Hot Boat Magazine on two occasions. I made it a center steer and lightened it by removing most of the “furniture”...Mercury racing liked it so much they used it in advertising their 2.5 engines.
To be honest, I hated the 2.5...it had to be wide open ALL THE TIME to make the Cougar “feel” right. The boat needed a 3 liter power plant because the bigger hull needs more torque to keep it on plane.
I’d love to let Mike Seebold see it now and drive it with the 372 HP DBR...I think it would spin his hat around! The Cougar MTR hull runs incredibly flat WITHOUT porpoise. When it is running at top speed, the nose stays put, like its on a string. The thing works.

And to think I almost sold this...thank God nobody stepped up to the plate, I would have regretted the sale. Wild Bill, (the Chirch’s Set up Guru) is helping me get the last bit out of this combo... with plenty of testing in the next few months, we plan to fine tune this monster into the best it can be. We feel low 120’s are going to happen. I want a spot in the 125 mph club.

The "Bitch". She went to Diamond Marine in Florida and got "Diamonds". Ported, nicked, and given the full "Diamond" treatment. She finished 2nd overall in the Parker 300 last year on Boat 312!!

Nope! de-riged the Skater, have an interested party in the system, capilano helm, hoses, marine machine rams, wing plate for a 300x, CORRECTION!! in need of a dual wing plate for a 300xs, already have one for a 300x. Also have latham trim wheel, preety much all rigging will be sold. and or coarse the 2016 300xs.

Could be, or Yamaha has retooled one of the lines to handle the new generation that includes higher HP, so for now I will likey run a single 4.2 untill that production begins. Lots to do in the mean time, turn the boat over and fix the bottom, replace the small center pod, it has started to break up, clean up edges from trailer/rock contact.
