After your 200 plus mile roll in the snazzy Church Nordic, we EXPECT your write up with pictures.

You are now free to go.

We are tentatively set to run Saturday morning, provided the wind isn't howling. So far, Steve and his crew are meeting us in Cottonwood. We are launching at Katherine's Landing and running to the top of the lake. 150 miles expected round trip. We will be checking the weather daily until launch.

If weather sux, we might do Havasu Friday and Saturday...Saturday night fly to SoCal and take the 35' Fountain to Catalina island on Sunday morning, at the crack of dawn.

Picture # 3 is a shot of Dawn's crack, not to be confused with the crack of Dawn.

Looking forward to running with you guys on Mohave. Meeting you at Cottonwood is no problem.
We'll let you lead the way above Willow. That stretch of the river is not my expertise.
Sounds like we're gonna have a great day.

We will launch out of Cottonwood Cove Marina...what time do you anticipate arriving there?

2 notes of caution...

1. High winds predicted for Thur 60mph / Fri 30+ /Sat...20mph

2. Black Canyon above Willow Beach to the dam is closed to boats over 65hp until Memorial Day.

I say we play it by ear and see what happens with the winds. The basin is never fun when it's 4 foot waves.

A rare Yosemite Canyon image...For a few days in latter February , and only in super clear skies. The sunlight makes the fall look like its on fire.

Given the weather cooperates, what time do you all anticipate getting to Cottonwood Cove?

We had 84mph gusts in Summerlin today, 70 on the lake.

Windy trip... Praying for still water tomorrow morning!

Went to see Joe Abellera and his Silverwing, AJ's had some big dollar chit, and Fallon Marine. Prepped the Nordic with fresh oil and filters for the Black Canyon Run.

A big thank you to Scott and Paul for allowing me the pleasure of joining them in the 28SS...It was Stoker water in the morning, but 50 foot Fountain water on the way south.

Hey now!

What would you rather drive for one night?

Answer: you can drive a car any fucking time.

They have comparable exhaust systems IMHO

Built for the Parker Enduro...then unfortunately, it was deemed to be too fast, so it was outlawed from the 2016 Enduro.

Bored and hand ported, balanced and blueprinted, not stroked. ECU has no rev limiter, all fuel mapping has been customized for maximum power. The big DBR was placed on a custom 15' mid section to lower the CG. My sponsors at BBLADES PROPELLERS supplied us with multiple wheels to put the power to the water. The BBLADES have been the fastest propellers of all of our testing efforts, and we test them all.

Block is a 2005 / HP code. Hand built by the best...Dave Bush and Joe Abellera.

Wild Bill, Tony Scarlata, and myself will be doing extensive testing on the big DBR in the coming months. We will also be testing Wild Bill's badass 3.3 liter, stage 3 Yamaha. We will keep interested Church followers in the loop.

If you are going to be the Reverend of The Outboard Church, you have to pilot a DBR, right??!!

I didn't realize dbr did 300x stuff. I thought they only did XS. Do they do older pro max stuff too??

Yes. The X is upgradable more than the XS I believe.

Correct. The XS is upgradable to a small extent and maintains its good fuel economy. The X sacrifices fuel but can build monster power.

Joe and Dave did a beautiful job building these two engines, mine is better though just for the record 😜

Fact is I'm still breaking it in, haven't had the time to put the fuel through it yet, but still it went right to 109mph with ease, still need to finish the bottom and setup, then take it back to Joe for the new ECU flash!

Ya, it is. I just didnt realize DBR did anything with them. I thought all the pro max and X stuff was being done by simon and others.
