Anybody want to run all of Mohave (Davis Dam to the top of Lake Mohave) this SATURDAY, with the Church on Desert Storm weekend??? We will run 70-90 mph avg speeds...
If you can do that speed, we would love to welcome you to run with us...estimated 75 miles up and 75 miles back...it will be a great run!

What day is the Mojave run planned? I might make a banzai run if the weather is good in a Cougar 22MTR

Had to boat , so I pulled out the Cougar for an evening rip session. Launched alone and , despite the slight chop, I tested the big cleaver. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as fast as I hoped for. I’ll take it out again and make a couple changes to see what I can get out of it.
You have to go thru a lot of props to find the right one.

Sounds like a blast. What time are you targeting for departure at Katherines Landing? If you don't mind a tag along, I just might be able to swing this trip. The Cougar's cruising speeds would be slower, in the 70-80mph range. But with this smaller boat, not sure I could keep up if it gets rough.

Thursday morning is the run up to Davis Dam on the river...

Saturday is the run from Katherines landing to the top of Lake Mohave. We like to get moving reasonably early...I would think by 8 we should be ready to go. We can confirm time as we move forward.

CALL JOHN 760-310-4125
Hey John!

We missed following the YammySleek around Elsinore...

I fueled up a drum of 91 octane at Downs Energy in Corona as well as a drum of 110 VP. The 91 did not pass the Digitron test prior to the race. It did after we mixed it with the 110...FYI

Workin!! would have been fun, you had to mention the fuel thing...haha what a bunch of hooie. funny thing is, running a fuel with a high ethanol content without the compression to back it up is ignorant and does not help in the HP department. for that matter running a high octane when the motor was not designed for it, makes less HP. the big Yamaha only needs 89 to not detonate. Things need to change so a guy can stop at his local gas station, fill the truck and boat up and go racing! I've recently learned there are fuel additives that the digiton will not pick in a test that makes for bigger gains. Last year , heard it was rough, how bout this year? Looked like a low turnout, so maybe that helped. Glad every one made it out safe, at least one very close call, almost river time!!

Other than Nordic Cyclone wakes and a few GN wakes for a short while, the water was perfect. It was a low turnout! Hooie is right. All the best!

Looks like a blast!!

I am sure its been discussed in this thread but what is the total distance from Springs to Davis Dam??

I have only gone from the Springs to the white gas line up by River Road cut off past the Avi and dont remember how far it was.

The Church Nordic has been requested to do the helicopter photo shoot for the Nordic catalog...7:30 am at the bridge. After the photo shoot, depending on time, we are going to make a call on the Mohave run. PM me your number, I’ll for sure contact you.

Last 8 days of boating have been unbelievable. Another 181 mile rip from benicia to Golden Gate to Stockton for lunch with friends, stopped at Windmill then back to benicia. I have 600+ miles on water over the last 8 days & drove to Havasu & back in between & spent last Sunday doing honeydo's around the house.

The kid and I did about 150 miles in the tin boat *shame face* this weekend.. pathetic but winter has not quite unleased it's grasp. Our summer camp up north still has ice on the river :(. ... It's always good to boat vicariously through you guys though.
