That’s My old boat

I know. It’s still badass! This is the first time I’ve seen a real look at the fuel consumption on the 450s. Just brings reality back when you look at the CCs that has 3-4-5-6 of them bastards strapped to the back of them. The look is cool, the functionality is lost. Twin Yanmars might not be as fast, but at least you could go somewhere.

Boat is ready for SF Bay trip, gonna meet Rick Bowling & his crew @ Scots Seafood in Oakland Estuary for lunch. We can't run with him, he cruises 110-130 in his Talon. Maybe buzz out past the Gate before lunch if fog allows.

Spectacular day, left Benicia marina & ran out under Gate to the lighthouse a few miles out thru some 7-8' swells. Met some friends at Scotts seafood in Oakland Estuary for killer lunch. Shut down in San Pablo bay for refreshments then back to Benicia. INCREDIBLE day

Great video and great pics!! I love that boat, I just wish there were more pics of the interior and info on it in general. I also believe you guys have the other canopied/half Talon running around the Delta?

There is a link on his website that documents some of the history of that boat. http://www.goneagainracing.com/ Its quite a machine. Although a "pleasure boat" now, its pretty much all business. I was lucky enough to go for a ride with Mr. and Mrs lake p.a.l last year. I have a couple from the back seat...cant see a whole lot though.

The old Carver needs a bunch of TLC but has great "bones"
Compression tests came back great, bilge is bone dry, and it was a blast getting her from Alameda to BW Big thanks to SeaSickRick for letting us borrow his carpet steam cleaner to get the cockpit dialed in.

Thanks for the good wishes Rob, same back at you en the mrs. and the rest of THE USUAL SUSPECTS have some health issues Iam trying to work through, So along with the covid been kinda out the loop this year, Hopein next year to be back at some of the gettogethers lift a few cold ones for us untell next time we catch up.
