Hmm....looks to be in the same location as Moonridge? Our place is part of Polynesian Shores 2...and the street next to us is 1....So it might be the makings of our original plots....definitely the same area from the pic...
It does not mention anything about homesites...our place was built in 1968 so not sure what year the flyer is from but it is all deed property where we are and moonridge...not a camp ground as it seems to illustrate.
Up by Coz's place ?
I've always wanted to open a tiki bar on the river.
Anyone have more photos of the Polynesian Village?
Wet T-Shirt Hula Dancing, 2PM every saturday :skull
Denny, called ya last night and left you a message
...Vaguely remember a 'back room'. Ah yes, Yuma County. Tightened up a tad after LaPaz County was established.
I'm going to need these stories.
Happy to oblige Ryan. Next time we are both at the river I would be happy to tip a few and recall some of the happy times that occured, late at night, while on the river in the old flat bottom with the stick-on lights. Lots of fun back then. Never did fully develop the navigation lights for the waterskier. BTW, I do recall that there were no PWC's and you could always expect courtesy from other boaters. My how times have changed. It is still fun. Pretty much 'The same - Only Different'
anybody know what this place is today ?
They had to burn this place to the ground because of back taxes in 68!!!!!! Parents bilt a house in 69/70 one of the first !!!! 10k for a lot and 2500 for dock with cabana !!! What a deal
So is it Moonridge today?
Yes it is !!!! sorry brain fart
Thx...be cool if there were more pix of the place back then.....
amazing how the river rarely changes it course but everything changes around it..
Polynesian Village was still going strong in the late 60's, just talking about it Sat. at the V-Drive Regatta, Easter'68 bunch of us from high school were staying there, partying Yuma co. Sheriff rolls in takes the two guys on either side of me to jail, under age drinking, left me to carry on:champagne:arty2:
Anybody have full scale of that pic, so you can make it into a nice 8x10 ?
Skyskier?
How about an 8 3/4 by 11 1/2, in an oak frame $20 ? it's the same as the one I did for the old sundance flyer
Definitely...will be down the weekend after 4th of July.
