The insanely hot English sideline reporter is the only reason worth watching this train wreck.

The Raiders will strongly consider Marcus Mariota if they can get him (if Derek Carr finishes the year poorly), but I think they pass on Jameis Winston after what happened with JaMarcus Russell. They don't need another talented signal-caller prospect with tons of red flags.

Oakland will instead focus on finding someone to protect Carr. Donald Penn is not a long-term option at left tackle, while Khalif Barnes should not be starting going forward.

What's the Vegas line that Oakland won't win any games at all this season?
They've become the NFL's version of the Cubs.

It was good to see the Bux win.
They are most certainly playing better.

Time to fire the head coach, and maybe the GM. Couldn't watch that mess today. I'm just glad my fantasy team is 4-0...:p

I honestly thought the Raiders had drafted well and signed some free agent talent......Damn they ain't showing it.

The Texans are 3-1 with a no armed QB and a offensive scheme that is very puzzling. They will need a QB next draft, so will maybe trade up. Unless Carr is a complete flop, or can't be kept on his feet from lack of protection, the Raiders are positioning themselves to trade down and stockpile several No 1's in the next draft. Will they fuck that up also is the question?

If the Raiders are nothing else, they are consistent. So, YES, they will fuck that up also.

They actually do have some good players, and made some good free agent signings.

But I've read reports that the team had a hard time spending all of their money this season, because a lot of free agents refused to go there...so to meet their cap minimum, they overpaid for some the talent that they got.

IMHO this is a recipe for disaster, as money that isn't earned is easy money, and these guys aren't going to all of a sudden practice harder now that they're getting paid.

Here's what they're paying, and to whom:

$8 million against the cap for Schaub? Really?

So the Raiders won the 2015 draft? :D

They're definitely front runners :D

Maybe they should just spend some money on 33+ year old receivers?

Sell the damn team.

I was hired at Busch Gardens when I got out of the Marines.
My first job there was a bartender when the Raiders rented the whole place for a private party.
This was in the free love and sex and dope days.

No Roman Emperor held a party wilder than that night. RD has though, but that's another thread.
Been a fan ever since, but in todays NFL and how bad the Raiders have been,, now I pretty much like the team I bet on.

IMHO the Raiders need to let Reggie McKenzie do his job. The Packers did pretty well under his watch.

They only recently got out from under their cap issues. Hiring Reggie as GM, and no allowing him to do his job now that he has money to spend, would be a huge waste.

Who says they aren't letting him do his job? You were on the money with your OG post, NO ONE wants to play there, stadium sucks, locker rooms suck, training facility sucks, owner sucks, I can go on and on. Mc Kenzie should be fired for sticking Carr in there with a useless team, all that's gonna happen is he's gonna look shitty and have his career ruined like many other should have been stars. They have no OL, WR's, RB's, DL, one LB, and no DB's, they let their punter go and have Sea Bass. They have had shitty drafts and their future looks worse. The NFL should force the sale of the team, they can if the team continues to lose money and value(one of the bottom 5). They have no money to infuse into the team, they can't afford to build their own stadium, it looks to me like they are LA bound soon. As much as I dislike the raiders the NFL nation needs them, they have a huge fan base, they use too lead in merchandise sales and they have a huge following world wide.

Hopefully Davis sells soon and allows a qualified owner to help in restoring their glory.

I should hae been more clear.
Reggie is on the chopping block.

This is the first year he doesn't have to deal with cap hell...if they let him go, then it's all a waste. So he needs more time to do his job IMHO.

McKenzie is/should be on the hook, Dennis Allen should have never been hired in the first place. They also should have paid to keep rashaad Jennings. They need a punch you in the mouth coach next year. Gruden would be great, but I think it's a long shot to get him out of that comfy booth. He already got his SB ring..
