Clearly these groups are not self policing, so you can’t have a peaceful protest without it turning into a riot if police are not present.

There is only one solution then if the protesters continue to harbor rioters in their protests. You can’t have it both ways.

You either allow unabated protests that turn to riots at the expense of business, property owners and regular citizens.

Or you use police to contain and control protests, eliminating the damage to people and property and those that don’t obey the rules are moved out or rounded up before the riots start.

It is pretty simple. These people have all day until night fall to peacefully protest. No one is infringing their speech. At night they need to go home and not cause trouble.

What I saw was individuals with full face coverings, some sort of false or misleading armbands and patches (red X’s), dressed in dark clothing scurrying around in the shadows with unknown items in backpacks, and carrying no signs to convey any message.
These are called “vandals”, “rouges”, or “suspicious characters” in real life...not protesters.

Because of the actions of so called leaders, these miscreants have been targeting LEO both on duty and at home.

Whatever those guys are that are confronting the criminals, I’d like to see more of them.
