The amount of money they are throwing away because they can’t be open on a holiday weekend, and two holiday weekends, could have paid for a lot of the remodel, or even the OT to be done by the first holiday.

Note...

The Turtle Bar closed just before Desert Storm in April 2023. What was the Nautical thinking when they said they were going to re-open the Turtle Bar before Desert Storm 2024, we ALL knew better (even their staff knew better)! Corporate has NO idea what they are doing or NOT doing!

I would be willing to bet that the loss of missing back to back Desert Storms, back to back Memorial weekends, back to back Forth of July weekends, 2 summers and now potentially about to miss a second Labor Day weekend would be enough for someone to lose their jobs in other forms of business! The loss of all this alone would have paid for 2 new bars and still had money left over for a new center console as a bonus. Big corporate, big money, no worries... we are just the small fish that want a cool place hang out with our friends again soon!

I had a group of about 100 guests there a week or two ago, luckily it went off just fine, but the Nautical really could do way better!

We also took the group to Pirates Cove and... boy, they know how to Roll Out the Red Carpet for us!!! 🏆 To top it off, they reached out to me the next day and asked how everything was and invited us back again next year! YUP, we will be back with a bigger group fo sho! Already set the dates.

What is crazy, is the incompetence has been going on for 10+ years.
Nothings going to happen in Lake Havasu, until that casino is built on the Island.
Preferable the Nautical Inn location, since it’s a tear down anyway.
😄😁

Why all the hate? We all know how quick projects are completed in Havasu..."dos semanas".😁
Once it does get finished you all will surely go and enjoy it, as will I.

yup, like I said... "we are just the small fish that want a cool place to hang out with our friends again soon!"

The incompetence running that place is wild

Truth! Its real!

To be honest we used to love the turtle. We somehow came across a beach spot yesterday about 5:30pm kids wanted to watch the firework show on the boat. We decided to eat there. Limited menu ok. But I swear to god everything was frozen from a grocery store heated up. I don’t complain about food I just eat but fuck it was near not edible. Wife was happy with her drink tho.

I wouldn't call it hate, Id call it disappointment. The Nautical has definitely seen far better days. A beautiful piece of land that has unlimited potential.

Maybe once the new bar is done, Nautical will figure out where to put a launch ramp. Was visiting a few weeks ago and the desk lady mentioned the new owners of the property next to Nautical is charging a “arm and a leg” for the use of the launch ramp that Nautical built on someone else’s property! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Live & let live I say.
The hate is derogitorly directed at management and how they haven't a clue how to run their business.
The critics wouldn't appreciate it if someone randomly judged their bizniz acumen. Just feels like unnecessary jabs.🤷‍♂️

When they built the launch ramp about 40+ years ago, wasn’t the land part of the Nautical Golf Course property?

We have a timeshare with First Cabins Club on the Nautical property. It’s my understanding that both the Nautical Property and golf course property were 2 separate land leases from state of Arizona. State decided to auction off the golf course land and some other surrounding acreage (think it was around 90 acres total) and it included the area where the current launch ramp is.

It was, but the nautical resort is a separate piece of land. Huge reason the ramp’s courtesy dock was never allowed.
This is also why the Nautical master plan was never built. They did not own the land 1/2 the resort was going to be built on.
