Dunno, the guy is a pro-Ukraine guy, and was an Army civil affairs officer under Bush and Obama I think. He definitely knows and understands how the military works, not sure if I agree he's the guy for the job.

I don't know about civil affairs, but he earned a Combat Infantry Badge while serving in the ME. The only way you earn a CIB, is to serve in combat in an infantry capacity. If you watch him on the Sean Ryan Show (post #2) it gives a good insight of where he is coming from, and his current believes about the military.

Sounds good. Except I served in the Marine Corps.
As you were...
Then, I thank you for your service. My son and SIL are still active duty and I would encourage you to read one of Pete's books. I believe he may be the best Sec Def ever.

I wonder if you have noticed this new tactic the democrats run on just about everybody..

FYI, the only thing on that list that is a maybe is if they did the due diligence. The rest of that is the fact pattern in this story.

I wonder how many were on the fence, waiting on the election to decide whether or not to re-up? Keeping those already trained seems important, and getting new ones to sign up had been rough the past few years.
Now they can be proud soldiers and defenders of this country instead of being military grade professional pronoun identifiers.

Like Frank Booth from the movie Blue Velvet said with such vigor - “Fuck that Shit!”

Tax filings show Hegseth became a director at Veterans for Freedom in 2006 and executive director in 2007. In 2008, filings show the organization raised over $8.7 million in revenue — but spent over $9 million, including significant sums on media buys and events and initiatives.

By 2010, tax filings show revenue had dropped to just under $265,000. In the nonprofit's 2011 filing, Hegseth was listed as an "officer," rather than its executive director.

Hegseth started leading Concerned Veterans for America in 2011. By 2016, the year Hegseth resigned as executive director, filings show the organization raised $15.9 million and listed $16.4 million in expenses.

Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, drank in ways that concerned his colleagues at Fox News, according to 10 current and former Fox employees who spoke with NBC News.

Two of those people said that on more than a dozen occasions during Hegseth’s time as a co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” which began in 2017, they smelled alcohol on him before he went on air. Those same two people, plus another, said that during his time there he appeared on television after they’d heard him talk about being hungover as he was getting ready or on set.

NOT TO MENTION HE'S A SERIAL ADULTERER AND SEXUAL ABUSER. HE COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE MORE UNFIT FOT THE JOB.
BUT HIS UNQUALIFIED ASS IS GOING TO GET THE DEI AND WOKE GENERALS OUT OF THE MILITARY?! GTFOH

Yet another wake up call, Fox News is just another full of shit propaganda machine with no credibility.

Why does anyone pay them any credence.... 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Stop watching these morons, grow a spine, and steer into the storm against these communists head on. Never relent.

A Tale of Two SoCal Superintendents. A nightime trial. Everything hangs in the balance for a junior Superintendent. BS charges, but, job, paycheck, carreer, pension, benefits, 20 years, at risk to go poof. And who shows up?
The Teetotaler official of the Church? Or, the Marine Boxer Super who you better catch early who makes grown men cry... Ditto what Racey opined. Head on a swivel. Real world stuff. 'Cause those A-Hole's are bat shit crazy.

Any republican that fucks with Trumps picks needs to be targeted the next election. Fuck these RINOs. The people overwhelmingly chose Trump and his agenda. Get on board or get crushed.

As far as drinking, when I was in the Army everyone drank like a fucking fish. We still got up and hit the PT field at 0500. That’s Military culture, at least in combat units. Maybe fucking POGs are fucking pussies and sit around the barracks jerking off in their racks.

I realize Fox is far from perfect, but they do have the most power and widest reach with the general public, so I would say take what they give you. Some on Fox and management don't care for Trump, but most all of the highest rated Fox shows do promote Trump to the fullest. That bogus article about Hegseth was a product of the completely worthless NBC network and a few supposed anonymous Fox employees. I just watched all of the current people on the morning Fox show completely support Pete and call the article nothing but lies and BS and even call out all the RHINO senators to give Trump what he wants. For the record I prefer News Max and the internet for info, but like I said before, take the good they give, because they have the widest reach, even Trump realizes this. Maybe someday it will all be X and Rogen.

They say he's a womanizer, yet Clinton is a Saint.

They say he drinks to much, yet Pelosi is pickled and AOC was a bartender...also both held in high regards.

They say he mismanaged money...and yet on Biden and Harris' watch they've admitted much of the Ukraine funding is unaccounted for (Billions).

I'd trust my Marine friends with the safety of my family. They surely aren't saints...that may be why we get along? I've reached a point where I wouldn't piss on a career politician if they were on fire...either side of the aisle really.

The widest reach for old people, not the general pulbic. In the key demographic, ages 25-54, their evening prime ratings are less then many youtube live streams like Timcast that are on at the same time. They get sub 100k at 7, 8, 9, and 10pm in that demo.

They are dying, and every year as more elderly pass, they have less and less viewers.
