The Heat Hotel and a guy in Uggs at Turtle Bar

Well, the Heat Hotel was a total let down. We arrived at 11ish on friday night. The desk clerk was polite and informative. We didn't really get a warm cozy feeling though, the dick head Manager was bitching at everyone. The Manager was rude to his employees and openly bitched about everything from the songs the DJ was playing to chores needing tending to by bar backs and security folks. When we checked out on Monday we walked right past the Mgr. as he sat at his lobby desk. He saw we had our bags and at a property where the asking room rate can be $300.00+ a night, the Manager better look up and say thanks, hope to see you again. The Heat will never see me check in again.

The Heat is too far removed from the Lake scene. I'm talking in a physical and metaphoric sense. I felt like I was at more of a European boutique Bed and Breakfast. The room was great, the Tempure-Pedic was the best I've had in a Hotel besides the new Edgewater beds in Laughlin. We just felt the Heat was too sterile, there were no boat people.
We took the boat down to the Turtle on Saturday and I felt home again. The stripper chick with the overdone bolt on's, the locals with the wife beaters, the great staff abd I swear to God I even saw the guy wearing Ugg boots. Some of you guys were giving him shit and it was classic. I know the Nautical's dated and a little long in the tooth, but it is what it is. I'm staying there on my next visit to Havasu for sure.

Sucks u had a bad experiance. Id have had words with the hotel manager. If he is incapable of hold his untactful tounge then so am I. I dont want to hear management of anything openly complain about the goings on in his/her hotel. Im a guest. How am I supposed to enjoy something that the managment is,bashing right in front of me. Fuck! If u dont like ur job then fucking quit! If ur gonna repremand ur people do it behind closed doors. Have respect for ur patrons and ur employees.

The Heat fits the theme under the bridge which is every conceivable theme a business person can think up.

It's sort of a mix of England, Miami, Pacific Rim, Old Miss with space ship jet boats, Tiki and Dixie bells boat tours. It's the mix of SW desert, island palupas, English Tudor mixed with rebar and glass block and a downtown Manhatten feel that makes it so architectually pleasing and unique.

Never been in the hotel but have stopped at the outside bar a few times. Cool view of the bridge, buts it's in a shitty location for sure, service was a lil under par... But hey!..they do have corn hole! HAHA
