Do you think the Fed is just going to pay all the local school system money for all the kids to just stay at Home?

My kids public school restarts their online education on the 13th. Basically at this point all they have done is extend their Easter break by two weeks. Education system is not reset.

The Medical system as been reset.
Only difference in the medical system is they are not treating non critical issues. All of those are delayed. Nothing has been reset.

Yea Corona pandemic Hoax.
Giving you a bit of leverage here, because I too believe this is being portrayed as something bigger than it is. That being said, it is a real threat to anybody with a compromised immune system. I've seen it with my own eyes. I think the scariest part of this deal for most is there is no established vacine or shot for it yet. By next year this will be another "flu shot" type scenario.

My daughter in high school has been getting and submitting work on line since the stay at home order. She did get the week off for spring break though.

My understanding is Fed pays for asses in seats. Not for kids to stay at home we will see.

I have spent the last 3 months in 2 different Hospitals. Oh yea they reset people are not using them as there doctors office anymore.

I have been battling with the medical system to keep my father alive through repository infections on a compromised individual. I can debate all day with facts on how you are more likly to die form Medical error than anything else.

State tax pays for public education. Fed money goes into coffers which are supposed to be paying for things.... It is arguable where any of it really goes. Has nothing to do with Covid.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Keep him out of the public and away from everyone.

Not sure how you are comparing medical error to whether or not the Covid deal is a Hoax. Two very different issues. May as well debate whether how gay Grads really is versus the difference between a A or B impeller on a Berkley.

Its simple if you show up at a hospital with dbl pneumonia normal course of action is minimum confinement no matter what caused the infection.

The real comedy will begin when Higher Education Schools want to still be payed for this second semester.
I know if they let those students out of confinement before figuring out how to handle commencements they"re going to riot.

All right.. hang on. If you are going to quote and then split up a conversation you have to insert the [qoute] (intentionally misspelled) at the beginning and [/qoute] (intentionally misspelled) at the end of the part of the discussion you are directly responding to.

In regards to pneumonia there are treatments ranging from medication, to stay home and drink lots of fluid, to hospitalization. They have had tests for pneumonia for years and medication to treat it. That is not the case with Covid. None of that matters in regards to whether a the Covid thing is a hoax versus the stats for dying related to medical errors, because your definition of Hoax or Medical error are subjective. Facts are facts, opinions are subjective.

I don't see a point in arguing it with you because it's pointless. Good luck to your dad.

With a senior at SDSU finishing up his work remotely from home... I can't say I agree with your comments.

Not higher education (well...probably higher than our public elementary schools) but my kid is in a private school (4th grade) at the tune of about $8000/year. I paid in advance to save a few hundred bucks, but it was made very clear to us that even though the kids are no longer allowed on campus for the rest of the school year and are doing "distance learning"....we're not getting any sort of refunds. Hell, the field trips that many paid for already are not being refunded...even though they're cancelled now. I'm not too upset about this, because our teachers, many of whom have kids of their own, are busting ass putting together multiple videos per day, sending out work, grading work that gets sent back in, as well as doing the distance learning thing with their own kids from home. Teachers at my kid's school are rockstars. They had a weekend to prepare...the following monday was a bit of a shitshow, but after that it was full speed ahead. We're not going back to campus for the rest of the school year.

From what I've heard from friends...the public school system can't get their shit together with the "distance learning" even after several weeks.

Now the $13K for property taxes that fund a school system that I don't even use I'm a bit raw over. Word on the street is, the reason the schools are offering free meals to kids (and even adults in some cases) still are because they can count that as "attendance" and get money as if there were asses in chairs.

You might want to check your facts the fed pays per day ass in a seat.

Gee, why didn't I think of that?

Feds pay for special-ed and lunch, everything else comes from property taxes there short round. Out of our school district's 105 Million in revenue, less than 3% come from Federal dollars.

Not an Argument for me Just want to help educate. There is no test for pneumonia as you put it. Its diagnosed by a simple xray. from there you world do a Sputm Culture to determine the source of the infection may take days or weeks for results unless you are looking for something specific.

And yes you are correct there are no medications specificly for Covid just like most other Viral infections like any other strain of the flu.

The bottom line is the numbers are not adding up. More people have died from already known flu's than this Corona virus.

If I see any of you out and about I'm not avoiding you because of the Corona Virus but because I hear cowardliness is contagious also.

I'm Done.

Hahaha... I haven't missed a day of work and go where I need to for my family. That doesn't stop me from using common sense. My youngest has asthma which is a bit concerning in these time. I'm following the suggested preventative measures put out by the CDC for my situation. You can run with your passive aggressive cowardliness comments all day. Not impressive. All I ask is that you use a bit of common sense. If you knew of a way to prevent your dad from getting pneumonia would you take those steps, or claim cowardness for taking those steps?

Came here for the boating pics and stayed for the entertainment. The last few weeks on RDP has not disappointed. There’s a group that thinks we should follow SIP guidelines, some that think we should continue with life BAU, others that believe sunlight and vitamins are the secret but it’s being kept a secret and as usual those that think the man is trying to take us down.

Hold on now, I’ve been led to believe that religion is the number one killer in the history of the world?
Read it right here in this forum!

Words like “cure” and “medical error” are extremely vague and ambiguous.
For example, it’s estimated that 50% of all cancer in this country could be prevented by eliminating obesity and smoking...period.
Heart disease must surely fall into the same bracket, if not the same percentage.

So...is this a “cure”?
Or is a “cure” strictly defined as a positive outcome from symptomatic treatment?

I have a few clients who are out of work on disability/workers comp...and this whole thing is FUCKED for them.

One with a torn solder ligament @ deltoid/clavical dropped down and since she is not considered "critical" they are just putting her off as it heals all fucked up....she's going to be out of work for years due to the lack of speedy surgery, since they will have to cut it all up (since it's healed in it's dropped position) extending the recovery time heavily.

The other has a torn acl...same thing...not critical.

Scary times.

Shit he already had pneumonia and I had to manage over the phone for 2 weeks, Got what I belive might have been the virus going through Havi back in late January. Once I returned to his bed side still put on a mask before it became fashionable. So yea I get it. Still hope know has to go through what I just did with our medical system.

Well I didn't need to CDC to tell me about common sense. Use to work in a call center with over 4k people touching there key boards and mice after they coughed and sneezed all over them.

I have an opinion and it’s not a theory. You’re a fucking IDIOT. I know you’re just a troll trying to get a rise out of people during difficult times but it’s time to grow up. Go back to your sandbox little brat, you’re not welcome here. Hud out!

Wait, you wore a mask? How cowardliness of you. lol. Sucks what your dad had to go through and I'm glad to hear you used a bit of common sense while helping him. That is all most of the info is about.

I reference the CDC because they are the experts. In your call center did you deal with dead bodies or calls for medical help where you actually had to respond to locations, or just computers and mice? We have been disenfecting our vehicles daily when we get them and for the most part, have been doing that since I started years ago.

Yes wore a mask. Not for myself didn't need to give my father anything more than he already had to deal with..
We had a couple of people over the years let say stop breathing at work.
I'm simi retired now. But when I started in the computer industry over 25 years ago one of the first jobs I had to do was clean Keyboards and Mice for over 2 weeks, it was a new hire ritual, that was in a controlled lab where I could wear gloves and a mask. If you have ever seen a large environment like that you would think half of the people working there died over there desk, it's disgusting how bad some of peoples work surfaces looked.
Company would not let us wear the mask on the floor said we might scare the sheep. needless to say washing my hands and not touching my face has been a habit for over 20 years.

I was just suggesting that you should not Bogart... I do not have any children but I have been paying property taxes to help educate other peoples children since I was 19. For the last nine years I have been doing it in two states. When does it end? How many kids do I need to educate? I am more concerned with paying crippling taxes in the future to fund over promised and underperforming pensions.
