Yesterday, I came across a few old memory cards that I did not recognize. If you ever hit any of our parties 2008-2013 you would know that there was a certain amount of risk that comes with exploring memory cards like this so of course, I smiled.
Desert Storm 2010, I would typically be down for the count by midnight at the latest. Luckily, my good friend Yarder would take over late night hosting duties. I remember waking up to Bud and Bud Light cans everywhere which is weird since we are Coors Light drinkers. Half drunk and waiting for morning shots the late night crew started telling me about the magical morning.
While trying to hold themselves up on our slanted driveway at 2am, they watch a truck pull up with the bed filled to the top with beer and ice, like something out of a country music video. Out pops the husky beer fairy, his cute wife and a couple of cool friends handing out an offer to refill as many coolers as they wanted with freshies. I have no idea how they found our place or why they'd even be in the neighborhood at 2am. We'll call it a wonderful coincidence.
Seriously, I thought two of my friends might cry as they told the story. It's as if they had won the sweepstakes.
This crew sounds like a special batch of people that I wanted to party with.
"Did you guys catch a name or number so we can invite them back for tonight's big BBQ?" was the first thing out of my mouth.
Blank stares and them looking at each other was my answer. Bummer.
Our group talked about that night for years.
Back to the memory card. It appears someone got pics of the beer fairy and his posse.
We didn't officially meet Dave and Stacy for another couple years. Some guys were just born to be legends....
