I have to say. The ultimate gift ever was getting involved with Flying before I even knew how much of an effect it would make on my life. I was only 14 when my dad‘s friend fell asleep in the 172 and I was his auto pilot while we flew to Mulege Mexico back-and-forth fishing. Two years later I had my license. I Never stopped flying.Bully is one of the guys that I am truly envious of on here. A life that one can only dream of and I love at least getting a glimpse into it.
That’s the first rule. Don’t land when it’s congested. And I don’t. I’ll just fly over but not land unless boats are completely NO threat . They tend to be extremely curious coming head on at me. Not funBully, I have been meaning to ask this since pics of you dropping in wherever you want to in this plane. How are you able to just fly any path and randomly land on any body of water? No flight plan needed? And I would be nervous as hell dropping down on a river full of civilians running around.
Do you still have a plane that gets you from CA to AZ?That’s the first rule. Don’t land when it’s congested. And I don’t. I’ll just fly over but not land unless boats are completely NO threat . They tend to be extremely curious coming head on at me. Not fun
VFR (visual flight rules) No flight plan required, unpopulated area and the fact that I’m a seaplane gives me the right to land anywhere a seaplane is allowed. Which is what I do.
1000’ above populated areas
All of the Colorado River Lakes are open. And most of the river as well
Seaplanes are allowed to fly low on the water because they might land.
but you’re absolutely correct. My biggest threat is boat traffic. That’s why am in the air before sun up. And back in the hanger by 8:30
