Yeah they're fast and you don't have time to go take a piss or get another beer much less try to get someone to help ya as it is a blur...😁

Nothing like a classic Weber Kettle to get the job done and have time to yourself.

Rant over. 🤣

The Weber Kettle grill is a classic. I’ve had 2 or three at least. Also one Weber gas grill. All worked great.

Sacrilege! Steaks should only be cooked over charcoal!
You know, a few years back I would have agreed but I can do a pretty mean steak on the Blackstone using the weighted presses. get the griddle and presses seriously hot, throw the steaks on the griddle with a little garlic butter on top then the presses on top of those, couple minute and turn again with the presses on top. Nicely charred on the outside with a beautiful racing stripe down the center.

I have both and the kettle in the same color. I agree! Had it for over 10 years just gave it a good cleaning and swapped out some parts and good as new this past weekend.

If you have a kettle get one of these I love mine. nothing like a hot AF cast iron grate to put a sear on your meat.

Steak is about the only thing I don't cook on the Blackstone since I got mine. If you haven't tried Mesquite Lump Charcoal on the Weber do yourself a favor. It's a Game Changer!!!

I have yet to figure out the steak on a blackstone trick. Breakfast foods are the easiest.
I just bought a griddle pan for when we go/rent places that have a BBQ, and yup it worked outstanding for our breakfast.

Variety is the spice of life! This is my program-
Blackstone for breakfast and fried rice
Weber Kettle for steaks, burgers, dogs, tri tip, chicken. Pretty much everything tastes better on the Weber
Pellet Smoker for brisket or pork shoulder, or just when I'm feeling lazy and don't wanna watch constantly 🤣
Propane grille for a quick turnaroud or when the wife wants to grille something cause she has no clue how to use the Weber.

I haven't used a Q since I got my Blackstone.

Steaks? Cast iron pan only!

Takes some practice, but once you have it dialed, there is no better way.

👍🏼

Curious if anyone has tried those 1500f infrared top searing grills like they use in the high-end steakhouses? Otto Wilde or Schwank grills are the home versions that are still big $. Sear the top and bottom for 90 sec each side then slow cook to temp. Here is a cheapo version

Pick up an old or new Weber. Get an S&S insert.

Your pork shoulder & brisket will come out incredible.

Lump or regular charcoal, fill the water tray, add your favorite wood chips and it will run 12+ hours all day long. It will hold 175-225 all day long. No need to watch.

I'll have to give that a try!
