is left overs for dinner the next day:D Dinner was great last night but I'm pretty sure it was even better tonight. Big old chunk of fried chicken, chunk of steak, rice pilaf, couple pieces of cheese bread and some of that salad that they start you off with. The only thing missing was the MAI TAI.

Before we leave, we always order another serving of the salad and then ask them to wrap it up. :D

The one on Rosemead has undergone some significant changes. Northwoods sold most all the property around the rest. to Kohls, Including the Old galley. Use to love that place for lunch. Less than a mile from my office.

Do they still have the one in Belmont Shores?

We used to go there when I was a kid. It was a big deal.

Actually they land leased the property to Kohls (I found this out from the guys at Northwoods one moring when we were setting the air conditioning equipment). For those that remember they are going to rebuild "the boat". You can still get the boat menu inside the Northwoods on Rosemead. I can't wait to go into the new boat.

Best thing there is mixing the cabage salad and the blue cheese salad then stuffing it into a slice of cheese bread and down the hatch chased by a ice cold brew. :beer...wow I'm hungry!!!

Please go to the POT BELLY STOVE and the waiter will be right with you. How many of you heard that when you walk in. The one in Azuza. I love the lobster tail and steak. I asked the waiter how long he has worked there, he tells me 31 years. And that most of them there have worked there for more than 20 years. Must pay well.

P.S. I will be there again in March, anyone want to meet up there for dinner??

Last time we went it was Super Bowl Sunday, after the game of course, but the place was empty. Our waiter was very chatty and said the same, he's worked there some 20 years or so. That is a VERY long time in that industry. The tips must be great :D:D

Friends of my ex-husband own (or used to own?) the place, the Gallapos. Great people from Claremont.

You can buy the cheese spread and make the Northwoods bread at home. It's call "Clearmans Spread" and it's freakin' awesome. Most grocery stores carry it now. We go through a tub every couple weeks...which explains the size of my ass.

Is Patty still affiliated with the company?

Anyone remember the "Keep 'Em Flying" WW2 Air Corps style bar they had at one location?
The most excellent theme bar ever. Took all kinds of restaurant awards.

The cheese spread to go is (was?) excellent. Do they still sell it?
