Ive heard stories of people skipping the fight and coming back hours later with some snips to cut ignition wires etc and push the boat off the dock

Either let it go or play the game of chess

Personally, I have to much to lose over some stupid shit like that
Or, swim to the stern of the boat, pull the plug/ unscrew with a crescent wrench and swim away. No one would be able to find out who did it. Timing is everything.

Do the docks say they are rented? I'm trying to understand who the dick was here or if they both were and this was the end result.
I’m guessing it was someone dropping off passengers to buy from store. The old I’ll just be here a five minutes deal.

I’d be pissed off too if I owned the rights to the slip and someone was parked in it when I arrived.

Almost like telling people you’re in my seats at a ball game or something. Happens all the time even though it shouldn’t. Why even have reserved seating tickets.

Got to thinking about this just now… perfect thing to do right after shitting in the cooler… clean up and sink the duke in one swoop. It’s the equivalent of a very expensive upper decker dump! 👀👀🤣👀🤣👀

I’ve had the same season tickets to padres for the last 15 years. Great seats and I can count on one hand how many times the seats are empty when we show up. I’ve had a couple people to tell me to check my ticket because they’re positive I’m wrong! I kindly say they’re season tickets and I doubt it. They get up pretty quick. Sometimes they just slide over but nowhere near ever getting into a fight.

I paid for an end slip for the night at Katherine’s on Friday night and a 13x30 slip on Saturday night. When I arrived Friday, there was an old pontoon docked at my dock. I went inside and told the people and they said they would contact the owner and have him move it. We went boating and came back 4 or 5 hours later and the toon was still there but it was now padlocked with a large chain to the dock. They said he did not answer the phone and so they impounded his boat and moved me one slip over.
Katherine's is pretty good about it for sure. I pulled up to my rental slip to find a boat in my spot, just rolled up to an open end dock and tied off. Went up to the store to advise the situation. They noted where I was tied up and told me I could just keep my boat there for the night. Next morning, same boat was still in my slip with a big ass chain across the bow.

All slips are marked with the slip number and that they are private. The squatter with the broken nose was wrong.
Sounds like he moved when confronted. People use my slip at Powell all the time when it’s empty. You start punching me you will get a bullet to the head.

We have the same thing with our slip at Powell, almost always come back to someone in it. We really don't mind provided they don't adjust our permanent ropes. We zip tie our ropes in location and have had people cut the zip ties, that's an instant way to have me untie your shit and push it out in the bay. Otherwise I'll go find the owner and ask kindly for them to move and they always do.

As far as this situation, I don't know Hobie (he goes by Hobie) well, but I have been around him a bit at various events and he is generally quiet and reserved despite being a big build guy. I would imagine for him to hit someone he would have to be fairly well provoked to go that far, he strikes me more as the strong and silent type vs. the standard loud mouth. Again, I don't know him very well, but just don't see him trying to get into that level of confrontation. As far as his companion being mouthy and starting the fight, well I could see that too.

All I've really verified in this thread: Don't park in someone else's spot (stuff most of us knew in high-school), and always, ALWAYS, take your cooler with you!

😂
Thanks for the chuckle this morning!! Totally agree with you. Your #2, the cooler, is the more important part in my opinion. 🤪 🤪 🤪

In the skip next to me Saturday was a blue shockwave deck and on the end of that same row there was a green one. Was that you?

It doesn't matter where there from. I truly believe they all have a crazy switch. The trigger is just at a different level....God forbid if you find it...lol
That might be a good find just before hitting the sack...

Wasn't me, probably my buddy Mickey though. He was out there with his green 28 Shockwave.
I was out there on Mother's Day weekend with another Shockwave buddy. My boat has more gray with some green... Mickey's is pretty much all green and white.

Let me dispel an absolute myth here about getting hit first and self defense etc. 8if you get into an altercation the cops don’t give two ficks who did what.. both parties go to jail because it’s a his word against yours etc.. unless there are several witnesses claiming you defended yourself your screwed..
Dave, one thing about Havasu that is shitty is. You touch anyone first you go to jail period! Yes, I am speaking from personal experience when a douche' bag verbally assaulted a female friend of mine and called her racial slurs. I defended her and was cuffed immediately. Even though this guy just came from a fight and we didn't know if he was going to swing on her or me.
