What’s the most interesting part of that unlocked article who you have millions of dollars with the boats at the marina and one particular time and they’re dumb ass videos is not operational who does that? Another issue with business that I have a problem with shit like that I have fixed within 12 hours.
Sorry....WTF did you just try to say?

They won’t do a fucking thing… They’ll tell you they’ll try to get a hold of them and to give it until the next morning…it’s a joke. Finally someone had enough it seems.

into another slip they have no rights to?
Do you know they didn’t rent the dock next door? If it was a simple mistake Jarrard is an asshole.

No it’s a plastic chain, with a center float and two carabiners to latch it. Have done the same in multiple marinas
At Naci I’ve seen padlocks lol. Guess they got tired of what you’re dealing with.

I’d think management would be happy to enforce the rules and offer some daily $$ parking at a different slip.

We pulled up to backside of 3 dunes Sunday morning to find a beach with a left easy up and chairs was gonna park there then decided I don’t want an altercation. This kinda shit was what I was worried about. Some people are wild cards and I’m just a little guy I’d hate to have to wack a fucker with a sand spike all for a beach at 3 dunes. 😂😂😂. I do think it’s shitty to leave stuff overnight because you don’t want to get up early to get a spot.
I'm not going to say where in case it's somebody here but I doubt that.
Went to a cove and everything was there. They had rocks on chairs so you knew they weren't out for the day.
Even had buoys tied to rocks.
I loaded it all up and threw it in the dumpster.

That's what Havasu PD told us on Sunday, consider it abandoned and throw it away.

You defend yourself, but you’re not the aggressor.
Business owner or not, this should be the way. I don't have much, but legal fees and medical bills charged to me would be really bad. I'm not the soft squishy type, not the type to back down. I was taught though to learn to take a punch, and then "game on". I have more important crap to worry about. When I had my dock in Needles, it was constantly used. I could care less, as long as they were cool when asked to leave, and didn't leave trash. That was 6+ years ago though.

I can tell you during supercat that wasn’t the response I got when we had people in skips we rented..??

I haven’t experienced anything with my personal slip yet, but we have a permanent boat in there now so I don’t expect it will ever be a problem.

Let me dispel an absolute myth here about getting hit first and self defense etc. 8if you get into an altercation the cops don’t give two ficks who did what.. both parties go to jail because it’s a his word against yours etc.. unless there are several witnesses claiming you defended yourself your screwed..

Different situation… I can assure you it’s the response I was given more than once…. Up until the last time when I was a complete AH about it. You have the same license as I do…just on a less trafficked dock. SCfW is a different deal, and obviously the response will be different.

If he asked me the guy that got booked his big-time stupid. If he was the aggressor, that’s the point the guy owns an investment company I found online looks like his wife is a pretty big real estate agent in Oak Hills area. When you’re in business you don’t do foolish things like this and have your name plastered all over them media.

You defend yourself, but you’re not the aggressor.
Oak Hills....that explains it all!~. Real Estate Agent, further explained!

Yes, "Mutual Combat" or something like that. What I was taught has nothing to do with legal ramifications. I was also taught if there's no witnesses, there's no problem ;)

Was by the ramps and heard a bunch of yelling. Bunch of cops showed up along with paramedics. Saw a lady talking intently to the cops (yes, she looked mouthy). Finally saw guy get arrested.

They look to own a DCB and he is a big dude no doubt from photos. I could be totally wrong but all my big friends usually avoid fights or cracking someone unless its absolutely called for. Seems hard to believe if the victim was actually apologizing the Jarrard dude who at close to 50yrs old would just crack him in the nose? Something provoked the swing IMO.

On another note If said victim would have never parked in a slip they knew was not theirs his nose would still be intact. Don't be an asshole and do the right thing and shit like this never happens.

Wtf;
Cooperation Marina with maybe a few million boats and doesn’t have an active high-end 4K video system and an NVR to document everything. This is just the 21st century business practice in my opinion.

And they just announced to every tweaker in Havasu the security system is down.
Let the random property theft begin

I don’t even know why the guy got in an argument.. I’d just walk into the convenience store and tell them to move the guys boat.

Albeit I reserved most the docks at LBR one time for an rdp regatta, and some prick parked his boat right in the middle of it.. I explained, I asked nicely,I offered to move it for them (they claimed they had been drinking at that point) I went to the staff and nada.. person was a prick about it.. I don’t get why some people act like that..

Security had them move it at six am. I was standing in my balcony at 5:58 watching because any later it was getting towed.. lol

That’s past your bedtime

I'm a small fish, but it seems like a video system would be at their advantage from a legal standpoint. CYA if not protecting other people's stuff.

But he learned that next time he can just park where he wants and save the $25K, all it’ll cost him is a possibly broken nose.

I’d take those odds to save $25K
I paid for an end slip for the night at Katherine’s on Friday night and a 13x30 slip on Saturday night. When I arrived Friday, there was an old pontoon docked at my dock. I went inside and told the people and they said they would contact the owner and have him move it. We went boating and came back 4 or 5 hours later and the toon was still there but it was now padlocked with a large chain to the dock. They said he did not answer the phone and so they impounded his boat and moved me one slip over.

Why does the HH article refer to this as a $ 25,000 rented slip ?

Letting this be known publicly known is a level of incompetence on their part that I’m actually surprised at..and it takes a lot to surprise me about that place…

None of us own a slip we buy into a license agreement those license agreements range in cost quite a bit. If it was truly a $25,000 one it has to be a large covered slip or something like that with a massive monthly fee.

Do the docks say they are rented? I'm trying to understand who the dick was here or if they both were and this was the end result.

That’s how it should be done.

I think the large covered slip is 25k for the rights for 30 years and it’s still like 1300 a month after that. I believe they will rent them out for you if your not using also.

I don’t think they are that much.. I’d bet the monthly is close though.
