The covid bs shut down Billy’s Horsepower fest. My guess is there will be a return eventually when Needles Marina Park is done with their upgrades and or upon completion of the KKE repower and paint renovation.

You might even see an antique outboard event in the future.

Billy’s Bezer is called the Krazy Kolors Express. It’s getting a Ford Hemi for power and complete hull renovation.

Oh, that makes sense. Thx for the insight. Is he getting close w/it yet? I'm sure the excitement to work on it is a bit low by the time he has spare time to get to it. No doubt it will be badazz when done.

Is he getting close? Switching from Chevy to a Hemi Ford has been a challenge. Every time I've gotten the impression the motor was close 2 more years passes by so I can't really answer. I know the boat hull has been refurbished structurally but paint he will keep a secret until he decides to unveil everything. I'll go on record and predict the KKE will be finished by end of next year.

I never saw the boat in person, but it looks like efi to me. Throttle bodies on top and stacked chillers.

i can answer these....
turboed, stacked superchillers, efi at tunnel ram base, throttle bodies are impco propane conversion parts.
story is.... always safety collar above and below the steering shaft sprocket, capturing the key.
when it slips out and you stand on the throttle the boat turn hard left and you end up on the island at Burley. note ... we ran the next heat.

I -think- the APBA also eliminated SK at the time. So, this was a way to bring the two classes together??? Someone that was in it then will have to comment.
