I remember her running at Irvine lake. I think Ron Bolton had something to do with the open bow conversion?
I never saw that it had an open bow. That has to be the only one.

Working on changing to metal heat shield vs the old wrap. The passenger side is still the old wrap to show difference

I know. It was a joke along time ago! Like Dave Rankin and anti-seize!
Rankin and anti-sieze? That sounds like an interesting one, can you share? (Pm if preferred)
Anti-sieze...great product, messiest shit ever. Somehow it always seems to end up in places you'd swear you never touched. Haha

Hey Jerry, you should ask Dave to make this a sticky thread. Probably won't because it's boating content.🙄 And, not the kind of boats most on this site are interested in.

I don't think more than 10 people a day look at it.

Not sure why Biesemeyer boats is on the K16 as it’s a Spitfire? John Guthrie Sr. and Jr. both drove the K16 Shocker. John Jr. would later drive the K66 boat for the Blown Brothers and later purchased and drove the K66. Lots of great memories racing with these guys!
That was a head scratcher for me too. I don't know the history.

It was back in the SSRA/SSRS days, when we had "local/race" sponsors, we would have stickers made and put the sponsors name on the boats. Usually it was drawn out of a stack and that's who you got.

Are there still hot boat shows being held like Billy B’s from years past?
I hear he's trying to do another one at NMP, but I haven't heard it it out of his mouth because I haven't talked to him. Apparently his phone is broken when I call him.🤪
